This article explains how to log into an iCloud account. To access Apple's service, you can use an iPhone, iPad or Mac via the iCloud settings built into the operating system. If you want to have access to iCloud on a Windows computer, you will need to download and install the iCloud for Windows program. Alternatively, you can access the service directly from the official website using any computer.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: iOS devices
Step 1. Launch the Settings app
iPhone.
It has a gray gear icon.
Step 2. Select the Log in on iPhone option
It is displayed at the top of the "Settings" menu.
If you've already signed in to an account on your device, tap the profile name displayed at the top of the "Settings" menu
Step 3. Log out of your current Apple ID if necessary
If the iPhone is already linked to a different Apple account than the one you want to log into iCloud with, follow these instructions before continuing:
- Scroll to the bottom of the page;
- Tap the item Go out;
- Enter the account password when prompted;
- Push the button OK;
- Choose whether or not to keep the data synchronized from iCloud on the device;
- At this point select the link Log in to iPhone displayed at the top of the "Settings" menu.
Step 4. Tap the text field to enter the email address associated with your Apple ID
It is located in the center of the screen. The virtual keyboard of the device will be displayed.
Step 5. Enter the email address associated with your Apple ID
Type in the email address you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 6. Press the Next button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 7. Enter the account security password
When the "Password" text field appears on the screen, type the password you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 8. Press the Next button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 9. Enter the iPhone passcode if prompted
This way you have completed the iCloud account login from your iPhone.
You may have to choose whether you want to merge data on iCloud with data already stored on the device. If so, select the option To merge.
Method 2 of 4: Windows
Step 1. Install the iCloud for Windows program if you haven't already
If you haven't downloaded and installed the iCloud for Windows app yet, follow these instructions before continuing:
- Visit the website https://support.apple.com/it-it/HT204283 using your computer browser;
- Click on the blue button Download;
- Double-click the file iCloudSetup.exe at the end of the download;
- Select the "I agree" checkbox, then click the button Install;
- Click on the button Yup when required;
- Click on the button end when the installation is complete, then restart your computer.
Step 2. Access the "Start" menu by clicking on the icon
It features the Windows logo and is located in the lower left corner of the desktop.
Step 3. Launch the iCloud for Windows program
Type the keyword icloud in the "Start" menu, then click on the app iCloud
appeared at the top of the "Start" menu. The program window will appear.
Step 4. Click on the "Apple ID" text field
It is the upper text field displayed in the center of the program window.
Step 5. Enter the email address associated with your Apple ID
Type in the email address you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 6. Click on the "Password" text field
It is located below the "Apple ID" field displayed in the center of the program window.
Step 7. Enter the account security password
Type in the password you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 8. Click the Login button
It's located at the bottom of the iCloud for Windows program window. This way you have completed the login procedure to your iCloud account.
Method 3 of 4: Mac
Step 1. Access the "Apple" menu by clicking on the icon
It features the Apple logo and is located in the upper left corner of the Mac screen. A list of options will be displayed.
Step 2. Click on System Preferences…
It is one of the items listed in the drop-down menu that appeared. The "System Preferences" window will appear.
Step 3. Click on the "iCloud" icon
It is located in the "System Preferences" window. The "iCloud" program window will be displayed.
Step 4. Enter the email address associated with your Apple ID
Type in the email address you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 5. Click the Next button
It is blue in color and is positioned at the bottom of the window.
Step 6. Enter the account security password
Type in the password you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 7. Click the Login button
It is located at the bottom of the window. This way you will have logged into your iCloud account on the Mac.
You may have to choose whether or not to download the data from iCloud to your Mac. If so, follow the instructions that will appear on the screen
Method 4 of 4: Website
Step 1. Visit the official iCloud website
Use the URL https://www.icloud.com/ and your computer's internet browser.
Step 2. Enter the email address associated with your Apple ID
Type it in the text field that appears in the center of the page. This is the same email address you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 3. Click the → button
It's located to the right of the text field where you just entered your Apple ID email address. The "Password" text field will be displayed below the one already present.
Step 4. Enter the Apple ID security password
Type in the "Password" text field. This is the password you use to log into your iCloud account.
Step 5. Click the → button
It is located to the right of the "Password" text field. This will log you into your iCloud account.
