The method you use to cite all of your sources will depend on how they are written. The Modern Language Association method is common in the humanities sector, while the Chicago method is more used in publishing. The American Psychological Association method is used in scientific and academic settings. Read the methods below to find out how to cite an authorless website.

Method 1 of 3: Cite an Internet Site according to the Chicago Method
Step 1. Find the owner of the website
Write the owner's brand name, using the same script and capital letters as they are used on the site. Place a period after the owner's name.
Step 2. Add the title of the post or article immediately after
Use a period after the title. Put the full title in quotes.
Step 3. Enter the general website address
For example, NBC.com. Use a period after the.com or.gov extension.
Step 4. Copy the URL of the page
Paste it after the website. Don't put a period at the end.
Step 5. Include the last login date at the end
Write it in parentheses and with a period at the end. For example, "(accessed 15 July 2013)."
An example of a citation of an authorless website following the Chicago method would be: Wikimedia Foundation. "Neuropathy." Wikipedia.org. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuropathy (last accessed 15 July 2013)
Method 2 of 3: Mention a Website according to the MLA Method
Step 1. Start with the title of the article in quotes
Put a period before the closing quotes. For example, "Childrearing in Asia."
Step 2. Add the site name in italics
Put a period after the name.
Step 3. Include the owner's name
For example, a publisher like Harper Collins might own the website, so add his name below.
Look for the owner's name at the bottom of the page. If you can't find it, go to the "About" section of the site
Step 4. Add the publication date according to the day, month and year format
For example, "16 Nov. 2013."
Step 5. If there is no date in the article, add the letters "n.d
Instead of the date.
Step 6. Add the word “Web”
Step 7. Complete with the date you last accessed
For example, using the same source from a Wikipedia page on neuropathy, you would write: "Neuropathy." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation. n.d. Web. July 15, 2013
Method 3 of 3: Cite an Internet Site according to the APA Method
Step 1. Put the document title first
Do not use italics or quotation marks. Put a period after the title.
Step 2. Add the last published or copyright date in parentheses
For example, (2013, June 6).
Write "n.d." if you can't find it
