If you wish to become a famous writer, whatever your age, this is the article for you. Dreams can really come true, and if you are committed to achieving this goal, the following article can help you.
Steps
Step 1. Make sure you really want to be a writer
There is no point in wasting your energy if you are not sure yet! Trust yourself, and know that you can succeed even if you are not entirely convinced.
Step 2. Read many books
It's okay to start with simpler books, as long as you move on to more complex reading later. That way you might find some good ideas at your fingertips. You can also use short stories and poems to stimulate your imagination.
Step 3. Write a booklet of about ten pages on a topic that interests you
When you're done, expand its content. Continue to write others but with different topics, such as History, Magic, (etc.).
Step 4. Write as often as possible
Write something every day, whether it's nonsense compositions or free lines of poetry. If you want to write for TV, and you can afford it, google 'professional TV consultants' and seek help from professionals.
Step 5. You can also write a journal, it will help you put yourself in the shoes of a real writer
And it is not important whether it is fiction or non-fiction, the important thing is to become familiar!
Step 6. Submit your works one at a time
Let your stories be read; after some time you may be recognized by a magazine or website
Step 7. Never give up
Even if you have been waiting for some time for someone to take an interest in your work, wait! Patience is everything. And if someone doesn't care, pass them on to someone else, maybe a friend or family member. Do not lose hope!
Step 8. Write
Write about what you are interested in reading and learning about. Make your characters real, and establish an inner exchange relationship with them. Love your characters as if they were your best friends.
Step 9. Try to expand your vocabulary
When you come across a new word, don't skip it - look it up in the dictionary and learn its meaning! Apply these new words to your daily conversation or writing.
Step 10. Look for suggestions from the people you are going to show your work to, they may interest you and come in very useful
Advice
- Don't wait for inspiration, choose to write a little bit every day. Always write anything, even if you jot down ideas quickly, whether it's a character account or a thought in your journal. Staring at a blank page will get you nowhere.
-
Create your fanpage on Facebook and Twitter. Share your achievements and let your friends and fans know when you will start and finish your next novel, short story, poem, etc.
Be original, and feel comfortable with the style of your writing
- Write a first draft. Don't even think about revising it until the draft is finished! Write now, edit later.
- Create a new character to identify with. For example, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling is an easy name to remember because it is unusual and original. Make your name unforgettable!
- If you're in the middle of a creation and you have a new idea for another story, you can pin it down to remind you to work on it later, or let it go. However, it is always best not to abandon a story that you have already started writing. Try to complete it, commit to the end. If this proves impossible, feel free to start with your new idea.
- Writing is like any other job, you have to work hard at it, even in times when you don't feel like it. The important thing is to get the words out.
Warnings
- Don't hold back. You will feel repressed and people will not know your inimitable style.
- Don't copy ideas from other books or quotes from other stories without getting legal permission.
- It is probably best not to let your friends and family read your work. Even if they are interested, they may not provide you with constructive criticism to work on, and may make you feel too confident and closed to the possibility of further changes and improvements.
- There is no infamous writer's block.
