Seems easy to moisturize your hair, right? Just apply some conditioner, wait a few minutes and voila! Quite right? Wrong. Deep hydration is vital when it comes to restoring the exact moisture level in your hair, but many of us don't have the time and patience to do it.
Steps
Step 1. Choose the right products
The crucial step in the process of deep hair hydration consists in choosing the products based on the type of hair to be treated. Read the label carefully to decide which product will be right for your hair, and especially if it is an intensive conditioner.
Step 2. * If the instructions say to leave on for 2-5 minutes and rinse, then this is not an intensive conditioner
It is a simple conditioner to rinse, which covers the hair without penetrating it.
- If it is a true intensive conditioner, the label will say to leave the product to act for 15-20 minutes under the helmet, covering the hair with a hood. The product should also be more moisturizing.
- Natural-based products are ideal because the ingredients that penetrate the hair will keep it hydrated for a longer period. However, natural ingredients are always the best.
- Make sure you don't buy an intensive conditioner for a different hair type than yours, such as oily hair.
Step 3. Decide whether to use heat
There are two methods to thoroughly moisturize your hair in the correct way.
Use a direct heat source (a heated helmet or hood) with both dry and wet hair, cover them with a plastic cap and stay under the heat source until they are perfectly hydrated
Method without using heat. Even if you're actually using heat, it's like you're cheating. To do this, you need to apply the intensive conditioner to dry hair, put on a plastic cap, a turban towel and leave for about an hour. During this time, you can indulge in other activities such as a pedicure, reading or watching television. It's a great way to save valuable time while under the helmet
Step 4. Check
When you take your hair out of the plastic wrap, the hair should feel silky smooth, even before rinsing. If they aren't, you'll need to get them to pose for a little while longer. Let it sit for another ten minutes and then check again. The best solution is to apply the intensive conditioner to your hair in the evening and let it act "all night", this way you will have beautiful and silky hair in the morning.
