Yale University is located in New Haven, Connecticut. Founded in 1701, it is one of the universities belonging to the Ivy League. Generally, the total number of registrations is less than 12,000. Step 1. Always try to get good grades in high school

Step 2. Challenge yourself with difficult placement tests during the school term
Since Yale is an Ivy League college, admissions seekers are looking for students who have proven they can survive challenging courses.
Step 3. Take the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Test) several times during your school years to get the highest possible score on the entry ranking
While your academic record is the thing that matters most to Yale, your entrance test scores will also be counted. Yale generally does not accept students who have scored less than 700 on the SAT or below 30 on the ACT.
Step 4. Try to participate in extra-curricular activities
At Yale they take into account the jobs you have done, extracurricular activities and your involvement in the community. Whenever possible, try to occupy leading roles in your activities.
Step 5. Complete the Common Application and Yale Supplement
You can complete both online by visiting the Common Application site. Pay your application fee by credit card or electronic check.

Step 6. Ask two of your high school professors to write a recommendation letter for you
Professors can send the letter by e-mail using the link you will provide via the Common Application site.
Yale is looking for recommendations that highlight your academic performance, as well as your energy, your motivations, your relationships with peers, your intellectual curiosities and the impact you have in your class
Step 7. Ask your school's guidance counselor to write a letter of recommendation about you and your academic performance
The recommendation should help Yale understand the difficulty level of your classes at school as well as provide background information about your past, including any leadership roles you have taken on.
Step 8. Fill out your SAT or ACT through the Common Application site
Visit the Standardized Testing website on the Yale website to determine if the program you are applying for requires additional testing.
Step 9. Ask your guidance counselor to fill out a mid-year report as soon as the first semester grades of the final year are available
Yale wants to make sure candidates maintain a high standard of achievement during their senior high school year.
Step 10. After submitting your application, you must wait at least three weeks to receive an email from Yale with instructions for creating your Eli account
The email will be sent to the address you provided in your application. You can use your Eli account to check which documents Yale has received and verify the status of your application.
