Steps
Step 1. Practice, practice and practice again
One way to improve in basketball is to go to a gym a few times a week to train and improve your shots. Also, try to run every day to keep fit! Playing with people better than you will make you better yourself. Try not to get discouraged too easily - you can always make up for a disappointing game by playing another one!
Step 2. Try practicing your shots from anywhere on the court:
close up, medium range and 3. Try to learn how to shoot well and cleanly. Also, practice your shots as if someone was watching and judging you.
Step 3. Never forget to stretch before exercising
It is essential to prevent possible injuries. Always stretch after warming up a little.
Step 4. Play as hard as you can in every game
You have to give your best to improve, or you won't make it.
Step 5. Play with people who are better than you, as often as you can
This way you will improve yourself.
Step 6. If there are basketball teams in your area, join them
Practicing in a gym is fine, but being part of a team is much more helpful in becoming good.
Step 7. Become part of the school team, and when you are older in the university team
(Doing so will increase your chances of being called into the NBA.)
Step 8. Try to be truly part of every team you play with
In this way, the chemistry with your teammates will increase and you will improve.
Step 9. Don't forget about physical strength
It is very important to build muscle in order to increase your stamina and your ability to attack and defend.
Step 10. Try to average your shots:
at least 60% in 2, 40% 3 and 75% in free throws.
Step 11. Try to be both a great leader and a great team player, both on and off the pitch
And don't forget to use fair play.
Step 12. Try to use all the methods you have to win it in the field
The basketball court must be yours and nobody else's!
Step 13. Don't deal with the wrong people and don't take drugs
