The models are tall and wear heels, so why not? The trouble is, when you're tall, high heels can be a real challenge. And the higher you are, the higher your center of gravity will be and the more likely you are to fall if you can't walk properly. Also, those of a certain height stoop most of the time for fear of looking "too tall" in the midst of others. It is important to find ways to be comfortable and confident in high heels to gain confidence while being tall.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Wear High Heels
Step 1. Get used to it slowly
Start with a couple of inches, then 5, and so on. As you gradually get used to the heel height, you will gradually feel more comfortable instead of being suddenly overwhelmed.
Step 2. Choose compact heels
Being tall, you are more prone to wobble, so the more stable the heel, the more comfortable the shoe will be. For example, by wearing wedges, you will have the confidence that you will be able to support the weight without having to worry about falling or tumbling.
Step 3. Choose comfortable heels
This is probably obvious advice, but it is often ignored. Try on the shoes, walk around the store for a while, and then be absolutely honest with yourself - no matter what the saleswoman says. Do you feel really comfortable? If not, ask for a couple more, another and another, until you find the one you can walk on without a problem.
Ask the store if they sell high-heeled shoes that have a hidden platform. Such support can help tall people wear their heels much more comfortably
Step 4. Check your posture
Are you standing straight? If you are wearing heels and are tall, it is important to have the correct posture as it helps you stay stable in the event of a loss of balance. If you are hunched over trying to appear shorter, it's time to stop (read next part for more confidence).
Part 2 of 2: Be sure of your height
Step 1. Feel confident
Just because you are tall, you have to walk with your head held high. If you feel the need to bend over, remember that "height is half beauty". Those of a certain height can do the same things as those who are shorter and in fact, in some types of career, it is better to be tall, such as in fashion. Height gives you perks that others don't, like being able to peek over the crowd and catch sight of things others don't get to see.
Step 2. Don't worry about being taller than men
Do you prefer to have a guy who is unsure of himself and who wants a shorter woman by his side to feel better or a guy who is confident and happy to have a tall woman?
Step 3. If someone makes an unpleasant comment, it means that they are jealous
Usually who says "Is it really necessary to be that tall?" or "Tall girls shouldn't wear heels" speaks out of sheer envy. If it weren't for this reason, why would he say anything to put you down? Trust yourself and answer: "Sure, but it's better than being short and always looking up at people."
Advice
- Low stiletto heels probably don't work if you're tall. It is a model that gives a measured air to a lower figure, but risks making a long and slender body appear a bit sloppy. Maybe it's a great type of shoe to get started with heels, but you won't have to stop at this model.
- Get some practice around the house before putting on your heels to go somewhere. Put them on to go out once you feel completely comfortable.
