This article explains how to log into WeChat with your account using an Android device.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use a Password
Step 1. Launch the WeChat app
It is characterized by a green icon inside which you can see two speech bubbles and the word "WeChat". It is usually visible directly on the Home screen or in the "Applications" panel.
Step 2. Press the Login button
It is green in color and located at the bottom of the screen.
If your profile picture or mobile number appears instead of the "Sign in" button, tap it Other located at the bottom of the screen and select the option Change Account. At this point you should be able to enter your mobile number and password.
Step 3. Enter your phone number
The international prefix is handled automatically.
If the international prefix displayed is incorrect, access the corresponding drop-down menu, then select the correct country
Step 4. Enter your login password
Step 5. Press the Login button
At this point you have completed the WeChat login.
Method 2 of 2: Use an SMS
Step 1. Launch the WeChat app
It is characterized by a green icon inside which you can see two speech bubbles and the word "WeChat". It is usually visible directly on the Home screen or in the "Applications" panel.
If you do not remember the password to access your WeChat account, you can use the procedure described below to log in using a verification code that will be sent to you via SMS. This way you will have the possibility to set a new password
Step 2. Press the Login button
It is green in color and located at the bottom of the screen.
If your profile picture or mobile number appears instead of the "Sign in" button, tap it Other located at the bottom of the screen and select the option Change Account. At this point you should be able to enter your mobile number and password.
Step 3. Press the Sign in via SMS button
It is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. Enter your mobile number
It will be used by the platform procedures to automatically send you a verification code.
If the international prefix displayed is not correct, access the corresponding drop-down menu and select the one for your country
Step 5. Press the Next button
A blank text field will appear in which you will need to enter the verification code. After a few moments you will receive a text message containing the security code which you will need to type in the field displayed on the screen.
Step 6. Enter the code in question into the text field displayed on the screen
In order to read the code, you will need to open the SMS you received from WeChat.
Step 7. Press the Next button
The program will verify the correctness of the entered code, after which it will allow you to import a new access password.
Step 8. Type the new password in the first text field
Step 9. Confirm that the password you just entered is correct by also typing it in the second text field displayed on the screen
Step 10. Press the Finish button
At this point you have completed the WeChat login.
