This article explains how to find a Facebook URL on an iPhone or iPad. If you have an iPhone, you can use the application to copy the URL of profiles, pages and groups. If you have an iPad, you'll need to use a mobile browser to copy a user's profile URL.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Find a Profile URL on an iPhone
Step 1. Open the Facebook application
The icon is a white lowercase "f" on a blue background and is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Visit the profile you are interested in
Facebook profiles are pages that belong to a single user rather than an activity or group. You can browse the site to find a personal profile or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find someone's profile by entering their name.
Tap the user's profile picture or name to go to their page
Step 3. Tap on More
The "More" button is represented by a circle with three dots in the center and is located on the right, under the cover image. A pop-up menu with five options will open.
Step 4. Click on Copy link to profile
It is the fourth option on the menu.
Step 5. Tap Ok
This will confirm that you want to copy the link to your clipboard, allowing you to paste it elsewhere.
Step 6. Paste the link
You can paste it into any application that allows you to write or edit texts. You can insert it in a Facebook post, instant message, text message, email, or text document. To paste the link, press the text cursor until you see a black bar appear on it, then tap "Paste". '
Method 2 of 4: Find a Profile URL on an iPad
Step 1. Visit https://www.facebook.com using a browser on the iPad
You can use any mobile browser you have installed; Safari is the default. The Safari browser icon is represented by a blue compass and is located at the bottom of the Home screen.
If you are not already logged in, enter by entering the e-mail address and password you have associated with your Facebook account in the fields located in the upper right corner
Step 2. Log in to the profile you are interested in
Facebook profiles are pages that belong to a single user rather than an activity or group. You can browse the site to find a personal profile or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find someone's profile by entering their name.
Tap the user's profile photo or name to go to their page
Step 3. Press the address bar
It is located at the top of the browser window. Press and hold it to select the entire profile URL and bring up the "Copy" and "Paste" options in a thin black bar.
Step 4. Tap Copy
The profile URL will then be copied to the iPad clipboard, allowing you to paste it elsewhere.
Step 5. Paste the link
The link can be pasted into any application that allows you to write or edit texts. You can insert it in a Facebook post, instant message, text message, email, or text document. To paste the link, press and hold the text cursor until a black bar appears above it, then tap "Paste".
Method 3 of 4: Find a Group URL
Step 1. Open the Facebook application
The icon is a white lowercase "f" on a blue background and is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Go to the Facebook page of the group you are interested in
You can search for it on the board or write the name of the group in the search bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Tap ⓘ
Tap the white button with a lowercase "i" in the top right. This will open the page showing the information about the group.
If you're using an iPad, tap instead ⋯ in the top right corner, then tap "View Group Info".
Step 4. Tap "Share"
This is the second option on the group information page. It is located next to a curved arrow icon. A pop-up menu will appear at the bottom of the screen.
If this option is not present, you may need to become a member of the group before you can copy the URL
Step 5. Tap Copy Link
This option is located at the bottom of the pop-up menu, above the "Delete" option. The link will be copied to the iPhone or iPad clipboard, allowing you to paste it elsewhere.
Step 6. Paste the link
The link can be pasted into any application that allows you to write or edit texts. You can insert it in a Facebook post, instant message, text message, email, or text document. To paste it, press and hold the text cursor until a black bar appears above it, then tap "Paste".
Method 4 of 4: Find the URL of a Page
Step 1. Open the Facebook application
The icon is a white lowercase "f" on a blue background and is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Visit the Facebook page that interests you
You can search for a business, community, blog, artist, or fan group's page by typing their name in the search bar at the top of the screen. Then, tap the blue "Pages" filter at the top of the screen.
To visit the page, tap your profile picture or name in the list
Step 3. Tap "Share"
It's the third button under your profile picture on the business page. A pop-up menu with four sharing options will open.
Step 4. Tap Copy Link
It's the third option on the pop-up menu and is next to an icon that looks like a chain. The Facebook page URL will be copied to the clipboard, allowing you to paste it elsewhere.
Step 5. Paste the link
