Many like to have decorations on their cell phone. If you want to decorate your phone, here's how to do it.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Painting
Step 1. Get some nail polish
Enamel is the simplest type of paint to use on a cell phone. Maybe you already have a color that you think might look good. If not, pick some colors at your local store.
You will also need acetone, which you can always find at your local store. Use a 75% volume bottle of alcohol
Step 2. Test the cell phone material by applying a small brush of nail polish to the bottom of the cell phone or to the inside of the battery cover
Then try to remove it with acetone. On some cell phones it is easier to remove the nail polish than on others (see Warnings).
Step 3. Remove the battery cover and take out the battery
This will make it easier to paint the cover and ensure that the battery is not touched.
Step 4. Cover all screens and cameras with paper tape
If you skip this step, be very careful to prevent those parts from being touched by the polish. The polish will ruin the plastic on the camera and screen.
Step 5. Use a nail polish brush to paint your design
You could start with a draft and try to keep the shapes simple for better results. Apply the nail polish with even strokes.
If you have a non-clamshell phone, you will need to use clear polish to paint the parts around the buttons. Apply at least two coats of clear polish
Step 6. Let the phone dry
Keep it away from dirt and dust that could stick to the polish. Let the nail polish dry for at least six hours, because while it may feel dry right away, it may still be soft and pliable, so even a light touch may leave an imprint.
Method 2 of 4: Stickers and Jewelry
Step 1. To personalize your mobile use the stickers
Use them alone or combine them with the design you made with the nail polish. Look for stickers at hobby stores, toy stores, or to get creative create your own custom stickers by cutting and gluing together a collection of stickers.
Step 2. Use small jewels or crystals to give a brilliant and crystallized effect
You can find them in hobby shops in personal care stores.
Method 3 of 4: Accessories
Step 1. Hang some charms on your cell phone so that it rocks as you talk
You can find many ready-made accessories.
Step 2. Try different covers for your phone
There are several colors, shapes and styles. If you are not ready to paint or create your own style, buy a nice cover.
Method 4 of 4: Internal Stylization
Step 1. Change your phone wallpaper to match the new style
Step 2. Change your phone's ringtone, so it's not generic or the preset music
Download songs that match your personality or that remind you of someone.
Warnings
- Stickers and adhesive jewelry can be difficult to remove if you change your mind and don't want them anymore.
- Be careful - your style can change quickly, it may not be worth changing your phone for just one week. Look for something that you will enjoy for a longer period.
- If you are worried about ruining your phone with nail polish, you might want to buy a clear film to paint to have the same effect.
- Always test to see if the polish can be removed from the acetone without damaging the plastic of the phone. You may find that you cannot take it off.
- When downloading ringtones, pay attention to the cost. Some may cost between 3 and 4 euros each.
