Hummingbirds live in many parts of the world. They are birds that flap their wings so fast that they produce a vibrating noise. Thanks to this guide you will learn how to easily draw one of these beautiful birds.
Steps
Step 1. Draw an oval for the head and a small circle inside it for the eye
Don't worry about keeping the exact aspect ratio, just try to mimic the sample image as best you can.
Step 2. Add an oval shape starting from the head
This will become the body.
Make sure that the point where the ovals of the body and the head meet is under the head, and not on top of it
Step 3. Draw a semicircle under the right side of the body
This will be the tail.
Step 4. Add the spread wings on the body
Insert a long, thin beak on the right side of the head.
Another typical feature of the hummingbird is its beak, which it can insert into even the smallest of flowers to extract nectar, so take great care to draw this part of the body correctly
Step 5. Draw the outline of the hummingbird following the sketch
Use a jagged line to outline the body, so as to reproduce the shape of small feathers. Outline the wings and draw large and small feathers inside them. And do the same on the tail as well.
Step 6. Trace the drawing in black ink
Try to draw a modular line, first thin, then thicker, and vice versa. This foresight will give the drawing a better look and give it a more professional style.
Step 7. Erase the pencil from the drawing and start coloring
See the illustration for reference.
