Getting the Sims married is one of the core elements of the Sims brand and FreePlay is no exception. To have a baby and complete a batch of game objectives, you will need two of your Sims to get married. Unlocking the marriage option may take some time the first time you try, but getting other couples to marry in the future will become much easier. Read this article to understand how to do both.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Marry the First Couple
Step 1. Make sure the game is up to date
To get married in Sims Freeplay, you will need to have the 2013 Holiday Update installed. Many applications should update automatically, so many people should already have access to them, but you can check the App Store and check for updates.
Step 2. Progress in the "Love is in the Air" mission
This mission will lead you to be engaged, get you an engagement ring for free and access to the Wedding Bundle. The mission is unlocked at Level 6 and you have a time limit of two days to get the bonus. If you don't complete the mission in time, you can still get married, but you won't get the Wedding Bundle (dresses) from the shop. Completing this mission is necessary in order to organize the first wedding. Complete the first objectives to begin wedding preparations:
- Take a Foam Shower;
- Invite a Sim;
- Flirt;
- Make a Fantasia Coffee;
- Be Romantic;
- Give birth to a budding love story;
- Watch a movie;
- Start a Relationship;
- Kiss on the cheek;
- Send a Sim home;
- Sleep over the alarm clock;
- Expand a room;
- Buy a 3-star bed;
- Kitchen "Heart Shaped Chocolates";
- Grow onions;
- Invite a Sim to your home;
- Be Romantic;
- Eat a Meal;
- Cook "Chocolate Pudding";
- Become a Couple.
Step 3. Fill the Partner bar
Once you're at the Partner level, you can take your Sims' relationship to the next level and start WooHooing. Completing the Partner bar allows you to reach this level. During the Partner level, you will need to complete the following steps:
- WooHoo;
- Buy two roses.
Step 4. Make sure you are not living together yet
There is a known problem in Sims FreePlay that occurs when you try to get engaged to someone who already lives with you that causes the engagement to fail. Before proposing, make sure the Sims live in separate houses, having one relocated if necessary. You can get them back together after the engagement.
Step 5. Propose and buy a ring
Once your two Sims are Partners, you will need to continue building their Relationship by being Romantic. After their relationship level grows sufficiently, you will see the "Propose Marriage" option when you select an Action. Selecting this action will take you to the Engagement Rings section of the shop.
- In the "Love is in the Air" mission, you will be given a ring for free. Future couples will require you to buy a ring with Simoleons or LPs.
- After the marriage proposal, carry out the action "Call a Friend".
Step 6. Move your Sims to a house
Once they are engaged, your Sims will have to move in together to progress their relationship. Choose a home that suits both of you and have them live together.
Step 7. Fill the Engagement bar
Now that your Sims are engaged, you will need to fill the Engagement Gauge in order for them to get married. Do lots of Romantic and WooHoo actions to fill the gauge. There are several actions that will need to be completed in this period:
- Invite three other Sims;
- Dance on Sim FM Hottest 100;
- Build the Park;
- Invite three other Sims to the Park
- Ask the Ring Ducks.
Step 8. Get married
Once the Engagement bar is full, you will see the "Get Married" option that appears if you select one of the Sims. After a few seconds, your Sims will be married and you will receive an announcement.
If you complete the mission within the time limit, you will have access to the Wedding Bundle clothes in Create-a-Sim mode from the Fancy Dress shop
Step 9. Have a baby
After marriage, your Sims can have a baby Sim. You will need to unlock the Baby Shop and then buy a cot to receive the baby. Search wikiHow or online for a guide for more details.
Part 2 of 2: Marrying Other Couples
Step 1. Progress through the relationship levels
Once you have completed your first marriage, you can start getting other couples to marry. To obtain the marriage option, the two Sims must have a high level of mutual relationship. You can increase their relationship level by using the "Be Remaining" action. Any Purple or Pink relationship will increase the Romantic relationship. There are three levels of romance that you need to go through before you can make the engagement: Budding Love, Dating and Partner.
Step 2. Propose and buy a ring
Once the Partner bar is full, your Sim can propose to the other Sim. When you refer your Sim, buy the most expensive ring you can afford. Cheaper rings lead to a higher risk of failure.
- If your proposal fails, try again with a more expensive ring.
- Make sure your Sims aren't living together before the proposal. They can move in after the engagement.
Step 3. Fill the Engagement bar
Now that your Sims are engaged, you will need to fill the Engagement Gauge in order for them to get married. Do lots of Romantic and WooHoo actions to fill the gauge. Unlike the initial mission, you don't have to perform any particular actions, just Be Romantic and WooHoo often.
Step 4. Get married
When couples get married after the first one, you don't need to go to the park or announce it to friends. The wedding takes place a few moments after selecting the action, regardless of where the Sims are.
