Would you like to stay up all night playing video games or maybe you just want to know what it's like? Keep reading, in this article you will find some great tips.
Steps
Step 1. Plan ahead
Unless you're a real night owl, you need to prepare yourself well first. To stay awake all night, you will need some items. If you plan to walk around the house, you should prepare a map of your home. Check the floor, chairs, sofa, and beds, noting anything that may creak, shake, or make noise when you touch it. After that you will be almost ready to start. Take all your things and items you will use for fun and hide them in a place where no one can find them. Maybe under your bed!
Also grab your favorite snacks and some drinks in case you get hungry or thirsty
Step 2. Also remember to decide on a night time at which you will be quieter, in case you want to go around the house
It might sound silly, but it's something you need to be aware of if you're afraid of the dark.
Step 3. Don't rush to bed early or you'll make your parents suspicious
Go to bed at the usual time and behave exactly as usual: they don't have to suspect anything. If you have a computer, PlayStation, Nintendo DS, Xbox, or other game console in your room, it would be a good idea to leave the device on with the monitor turned off, because turning it on in the middle of the night, your parents, even if were asleep, they would be awakened by the noise these appliances make when they turn on.
Step 4. Now, you are in bed
Everything is dark; not a leaf moves. Before starting the dance, wait until you hear or see your parents going to bed. It may take some time, maybe even more than an hour, but you have to be determined to want to stay awake. Once you're sure your parents are sleeping, you can start partying.
Step 5. Find something to pass the time
Until your parents are completely asleep (or if they're a light sleeper), try to keep yourself busy, but don't leave your room. You have to try to distract yourself: use the computer or find a way to keep your mind busy for a while. After a few minutes, you will be tired and want to do something else. If you get sleepy, here's what you can do to keep you awake!
Step 6. Don't doze off
If you feel like closing your eyes, go to the bathroom quietly and put a wet cloth on your head, or rinse your face with cold water. You will feel freezing, but it will keep you wide awake. At this point, let the party begin!
Step 7. It should be around one
You're likely to feel terribly bored, so get a move on - it's time to explore the house at night. Get ready for this adventure!
Step 8. Get the map of your home
If you have a pocket, put the map in it. Get out of bed without getting too excited or you'll end up making noise, which would be a BAD idea. Go get some food from the refrigerator or whatever you need. Move on tiptoe and don't wear slippers as they will make noise. Be quiet and try not to laugh.
Step 9. It should be around three in the morning
You are tired and bored. You have had enough fun and you want to sleep, but put another wet cloth on your head and rinse your face again; then, watch TV or do your homework. You will certainly find something to do!
Step 10. Did you enjoy yourself?
Make sure you sleep the next night, though, or you'll feel terrible; and by saying "terrible" I mean that you would feel really bad. Until next time!
Advice
- If your parents find you around the house, just say: "I wanted a glass of water", "I had a bad dream" or "I just couldn't sleep".
- Make sure you eat something.
- Try not to get caught by your siblings either, because if they don't want to get involved, they'll cheat on you.
- Get everything you need before bed
- Make sure the TV volume is low.
- Can't keep your eyes open? Try increasing the brightness of your TV or monitor screen.
- When you're done, turn the screen brightness back down so your family won't find you.
- Play with a mobile.
- Use the computer to pass the time.
- Play with your toys! If you wish, you can use them to create adventures with them!
- Eat enough candy to make you want to throw up. They will help you stay awake!
Warnings
- Do not do this experiment if you have to go to school tomorrow. You would be too tired in class and your parents might find out about your stunt.
- Don't dress completely in black. Try dark blue that goes more with the color of the night.
- Don't try to do this if you share your room with someone.
