Do you want to reach the higher levels of Wizard101? Higher level wizards get the best gear and can access higher level Pvp (Player vs Player) matches. The path to the higher levels may seem a long one, but by completing missions (and getting some help from a few friends), you can become a powerful wizard in no time.
Steps
Step 1. Finish all the starting missions
Before attempting to level up, finish any starting quests available in Wizard City. By completing all of these missions, you should reach level 9 and have obtained a good deal of decent level starting equipment and a decent amount of cash.
Make sure you complete all missions on Cyclops Lane, Firecat Alley, Colossus Boulevard, and Sunken City. These areas of Wizard City are only available by purchasing a subscription or paying through Crowns
Step 2. Make a subscription or buy some Crowns
You will not be able to access most of the missions in the game without purchasing Crowns or making a subscription. You can use Crowns to access individual locked areas, while a subscription allows you to access any area. Missions are the fastest way to earn XP, so having access to them is key to getting through level 10.
If you don't play often, you can buy Crowns to access one area at a time, or you can sign up for simultaneous access to all areas
Step 3. Complete all missions in each world
Missions are by far the fastest and most consistent way to earn XP and raise your level. In each world, complete all available missions. Most players tackle the different worlds in the following order:
- Wizard City
- Krokotopia
- Marleybone
- MooShu
- Dragonspyre
- Celestia
- Zafaria
- Some recommend avoiding all side missions in Wizard City and Krokotopia, as they don't provide enough XP for the time required to complete them. Regardless of what you decide to do, make sure you complete all missions starting with Marleybone.
Step 4. Carry out the missions of Prospector Zeke
Prospector Zeke can be found in the center of every city, and his missions are among the most rewarding in the game. If you are going through the various missions, be sure to save some time to talk to Zeke. Most of Zeke's missions are about finding items that need to be delivered to him.
Make sure you talk to Zeke as soon as you enter a new world, as you will stumble upon the items he needs as you visit the various areas
Step 5. Use attacks that require a lot of Pips
Each of your attacks requires Pips, and the higher your rank, the more Pips are required for the attack. The amount of XP you get depends on the number of Pips you use to cast a spell, following this pattern:
- 0 Pips - 3 XP
- 1 Pip - 3 XP
- 2 Pips - 6 XP
- 3 Pips - 9 XP
- 4 Pips - 12 XP
- You gain XP even if your spell fails.
Step 6. Get the upper hand in the dungeons
When entering a tower or dungeon, make sure you can attack first. If you get the first attack, you will be able to cast spells first on each floor, giving you a good advantage. If you don't get the first attack, press Esc and leave the dungeon. You won't be penalized for giving up, and you can try again hoping for the first attack.
Step 7. Make friends with someone of a high level
If you can befriend a couple of high-level wizards, they can teleport you to one of the more advanced dungeons. You will not need to participate in the fight, but you will still gain all the available experience. Using this method you can go from level 1 to level 18 in a couple of minutes.
- Some of the best dungeons are the Labyrinth, the Crimson Fields, and the Tree of Life.
- You can only complete each dungeon twice. You will get the maximum experience available the first time and 50% the second time. After that, you will no longer get any experience points from that dungeon.
- Try to ask nearby players for help to take part in the various dungeons, but avoid annoying them. This requires an investment of their time, and can be very costly for some.
Step 8. Repeat old dungeons
When you have begun to move up a few levels, repeat dungeons you have already completed. The amount of experience gained will not be large, but you should be able to complete them quickly as your wizard is more powerful.
