Steps
Step 1. Start the "Nintendogs + Cats" game
Start by turning on the Nintendo 3DS system, then select the Nintendogs + Cats video game.
Step 2. Press the combination of "A, B, X and Y" buttons
While the "Nintendogs + Cats" video game is loading, simultaneously hold down the indicated keys. A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to clear the game save files and start a new game from scratch. Make sure you press the indicated key combination before the game's splash screen appears.
