How to Delete a PlayStation Network Account

This article explains how to request the permanent deletion of an account from PlayStation Network (PSN).

Steps

Step 1. Consider what happens when closing an account

Deleting an account is final. Be sure to consider the following points before continuing:

• You will no longer be able to use your online ID to create a new account;
• All purchases will be lost and no content can be transferred to another account;
• All subscriptions will be canceled;
• Your PSN wallet will no longer be available and the remaining funds will be deleted.

Step 2. Prepare the data associated with your account

Your PSN account can only be closed by a Sony employee and this person will need the following information:

• Your login ID, which is your email address;
• Your PSN Online ID;
• Any security information you have added to protect your account.

Step 3. Contact Sony PlayStation Support

Support options vary depending on where you live:

• If you opt for chat support, visit the support website, select Close PSN account then Contact us.

• To contact Sony PlayStation support by phone, call the number available in your region. If you can't find the number you need below, look for it online. In the search bar type the name of the country and add "Sony PlayStation support phone number".

  Step 4. Ask the operator to close your account
