If you have decided to delete your Instagram account, you will be happy to know that it is possible to do this from both a mobile device and your computer, even if the operation is not as simple as you may think. When you complete the process, your profile information, content and data will be deleted forever.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Mobile
Step 1. Open Instagram
It is the multicolored app that looks like a camera lens. If you are already logged in, the home page will open directly.
Step 2. Press
or your profile picture.
It is located in the lower right corner of the screen. Tapping the icon will open your profile page.
Step 3. Press the ☰ menu
It is located in the upper right corner.
Step 4. Press Settings at the bottom of the menu
Step 5. Scroll down the menu and press Help
It is the option characterized by the icon with a question mark (?).
Step 6. Press the Help Center item
It is the second item in the "Help" menu. Opens a window with some instructions.
Step 7. Press Manage Your Account
The options menu for your profile will open, among which you will find the one related to deletion.
Step 8. Press Delete Your Account
It is the second option on the page.
Step 9. Press "How do I delete my account?
Choose this option if you have no intention of reactivating your account in the future.
If you prefer to deactivate your account temporarily until you decide to log back in, choose "How do I temporarily deactivate my Instagram account?" and follow the on-screen instructions
Step 10. Review the conditions and press the "Delete your Account" button
In this screen you are informed that the cancellation is permanent, but you have up to 30 days to reactivate it if you change your mind. The link Delete your Account is the blue text in section 1
If you haven't logged into your Instagram account yet, you will be prompted to do so now
Step 11. Select a reason why you want to delete your profile
Press the bar at the bottom of the page and choose a motif from the drop-down menu.
If you don't want to specify a reason, choose Other.
Step 12. Enter your account password again and press Delete my account permanently
This will open a pop-up window asking you to confirm.
Step 13. Press OK
Your account has been permanently deleted. If you log into your account within 30 days, it will be reactivated. Once 30 days have passed, the account will be permanently deleted and you will no longer be able to access it.
Method 2 of 2: Computer
Step 1. Go to https://help.instagram.com using your favorite browser
Remember that deleting your Instagram account is an operation permanent. After the cancellation, you will have a period of 30 days during which you will have the possibility to access it to restore it. After this period, your account will be deleted forever.
Step 2. Click Manage your account in the left panel
Step 3. Click on Delete your account
It is the second option inside the panel on the left.
Step 4. Click on "How do I delete my account?
Choose this option if you have no intention of reactivating your account in the future.
If you'd rather deactivate your account temporarily until you decide to log back in, choose How do I temporarily deactivate my Instagram account instead? and follow the on-screen instructions
Step 5. Review the conditions and press the "Delete your Account" button

Type your password again to confirm that you really want to delete your account.

A pop-up window will open asking you for further confirmation.
Step 9. Click OK
Your account will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
