If you want to delete your profile from Ashley Madison's site, you have two options. You can deactivate your account or delete it completely. Upon deactivation, the profile is removed from search results and hidden from the public, but the ability to restore and reuse your account remains. If you delete it completely, not only will you remove the profile from your search results and the site, it will also delete all photos, browsing history, and all messages sent and received on your account. While it is possible to use Ashley Madison's service through an application on a mobile device, the feature that allows you to delete an account is only available on the computer version.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Deactivate Your Profile
Step 1. Log in to
By deactivating your account, the profile will be removed from search results and hidden from the public, but you will still have the option to restore and reuse it.
If you deactivate your account, all information will remain on the site, so it will still be exposed to the risk of being filtered or hacked
Step 2. Click on the Manage Profile tab
It is located at the top of the site.
Step 3. Click Delete Profile
This option is located in the left menu.
Step 4. Click Deactivate Your Profile
This is the first option on the right side of the screen and presents the list of features related to the deactivation process.
You will be redirected to a specific page to deactivate the account, where you will have to justify your decision. Choose a reason and click on "Deactivate", then confirm the operation in the pop-up
Method 2 of 2: Permanently Delete Your Profile
Step 1. Log in to
By deleting your account, your profile will be removed from the search results, and all photos, messages and data relating to your browsing history will be deleted. It is not possible to reactivate the account after deleting it.
Step 2. Click on the Manage Profile tab
It is located at the top of the page.
Step 3. Click Delete Profile
This option is located in the left menu.
Step 4. Click Delete your profile
This is the second option on the right side of the screen and presents the list of features related to the permanent deletion of your account.
