If the dryer is plugged in, you may suffer an electric shock. It is simple to replace and you will only need a screwdriver and / or a 6.5mm mechanical socket.
Steps
Step 1. Unplug the dryer
Step 2. Remove the pump and back panel
Step 3. Look at the back of the dryer
On the right side, you will see a metal (probably gray) apparatus. The element is inside.
Step 4. Unscrew the black sensor at the top and bottom
Step 5. Disconnect the cables under the sensors
For 50% these two sensors could be the cause of the problem. Also, there is a fuse on the left, under the wide casing. It is 2.50 cm long and has two strands attached. This could also cause the problem. There is only one screw that holds it in place. If in doubt, take these components to a specialist shop to have them tested with a voltmeter).
Step 6. Gently lift the entire gray casing
It should come loose easily. If not, push harder and pull towards you. You may need to remove the screw and the bracket on top. Some hooks at the bottom will come loose.
Step 7. Turn it upside down; you will see that there is a waist that fixes the element in place
Unscrew the screw and carefully remove the element which is a coil that heats up, on a metal stand. Examine the coil for damage. Test the element with a voltmeter if you have one. Also test the sensors. So you will know where the problem lies.
Step 8. Install the new item by reversing the steps listed above
Replace the element, sensors and replace the panel and pump. When you are done, try it!
