This wikiHow teaches you how to preview a document, image, or audio file attached to an email in your Gmail inbox using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open the Gmail application on your Android device
The icon is represented by a white envelope with a red outline. You can find it on the Home screen or in the application menu.
Step 2. Select an email in the inbox
Find the email you want to view and tap it to open the message in full screen.
If the message has an attachment, you will see a paperclip symbol on the right side of the email
Step 3. Scroll down and look for attachments under the body of the email
All attachments of an email are listed under the message body at the bottom of the screen. In this section you will see the titles and previews of all attachments.
Step 4. Click on the attachment you want to view
This will open a preview of the selected attachment in full screen. You will be able to read the document, see the image or listen to the audio file without having to download it to your Android device.

- You can also quickly save an attachment to your Google Drive library. Just press on the triangle symbol next to the download button, under the thumbnail.
