This article explains how to leave a group chat on Viber and remove the group from the recent conversations list using an Android OS device.
Steps
Step 1. Open the Viber application on your device
The icon is depicted as a purple balloon with a white telephone handset inside. You can find it in the application menu.
Step 2. Click on the Chat tab
This button is located in the tab bar at the top of the screen. A list of all your conversations will open.
Step 3. Select the group you want to delete
Find the group you want to delete from the chat list and tap on its name or icon to open the conversation.
Step 4. Click on the ⋮ icon
This button is located in the upper right corner of the screen and allows you to open the menu dedicated to the group.
Step 5. Select Chat Info on the menu
This will open a section dedicated to group details on the right side of the screen.
Step 6. Click on the red Abandon and delete button
This option is located at the bottom of the chat information panel, on the right side of the screen. You will need to confirm the operation in a pop-up.
Step 7. Click on Abandon and delete in the pop-up
This will remove you from the selected group chat and the conversation will be deleted from the list.
