This article explains how to leave a group conversation on WeChat and remove it from the chat list using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open the WeChat application on your Android device
The icon is represented by two white speech bubbles in a green box and is located in the application menu.
If access to WeChat does not occur automatically on your device, press the "Login" button and log in by entering the data associated with your account
Step 2. Click on the WeChat tab
It looks like a dialogue bubble and is located in the lower left corner of the screen. This tab will show you the list of all your private and group conversations.
If a particular chat opens, press the arrow at the top left to return to the list of conversations
Step 3. Click on the name of the group you want to leave
Search for the group in the conversation list and tap on it. This will open the chat in full screen.
Step 4. Click on the icon depicted by two human silhouettes
This button is located in the upper right corner of the group conversation. A page dedicated to the information of the group in question will open.
Step 5. Scroll down and select Delete and quit
This red button is located at the bottom of the group information page. You will need to confirm the operation in a pop-up.
Step 6. Click on Leave group in the pop-up
This will confirm the operation, removing you from the selected group chat. The group will disappear from your conversation list.
