Steps
Step 1. Be yourself
The first step is to find a style that reflects you, that makes you feel confident and that you like to show off (if you want, however, you can change it every now and then). Whether you find inspiration in punk, rockabilly or the goth scene, try to see what fits your personality best. Of course, you can mix different styles, as long as they fit you well and you think this is your ideal outfit.
Step 2. You could also get piercings or tattoos
It's definitely not mandatory, so don't do it until you're really sure you want to. Again, if you were to get a tattoo, have the tattoo artist create a unique and special design that reflects your personality and style.
Step 3. Don't aspire to be perfect

Step 4. Always dress up and wear makeup when going to a party or concert
At home you can be in your pajamas all day, but in public you have to be awesome. Photographers who specialize in this field of fashion may notice you practically anywhere.
Step 5. Go to lots of parties and concerts, preferably indie or underground
Also participate in festivals. Try to make connections with musicians, because they often know many photographers and collaborate with them.

Step 7. Ask a friend to take some great photos of you
Avoid blurry shots taken with a poor quality camera, and try to find an original set. Never take pictures in the bedroom, in the garden (unless there are very beautiful or interesting points to take), in the bathroom and so on: the result will be poor and unprofessional.
Step 8. If you like, think about the alias you will use to work
Make sure this stage name is not already in use by searching for it on Google. Avoid the ones that look too childish, unless they fit your style perfectly.

Step 10. Do not mix professional and personal shots, taken with friends, relatives, on vacation and so on
Also, be reserved when posting status on social networks, don't tell too much about your private life and avoid intimate anecdotes. In this way, you will look more adult, almost mysterious.
Step 11. Never post photos taken with your webcam or mobile phone
Keep them on your personal blog, otherwise you will look like a narcissistic teenager.
Step 12. Give it a try on some online networks dedicated to alternative models, such as Suicide Girls
You will get the chance to work with photographers, makeup artists, and other professionals, but remember that some types of jobs include full nudity. If you are not ready to do so, better avoid, because you will never be able to delete these photographs from the web.
Step 13. Be kind
Go to different parties, show your fun, sociable and daring side. This will allow you to make many new friends. The more popular you become, the more chances you will have of being known as a model as well. Talk about your activities whenever you get the chance, but don't be arrogant. Humility will make you look more interesting, boaster behaviors will drive others away.
