It takes a lot of effort to move a pool table. If you move it to the same room, it will take a few people to do it. If you have to move it to a different place instead, it will take the right tools and time. If you are inexperienced in reassembling a pool table, consult a professional.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Move a Pool Table to the Same Room
Step 1. Buy 4 wooden carts
Wrap the surfaces of the trolleys with rugs or fabrics to avoid scratching the table feet.
Step 2. Tilt the table by lifting it off the floor along one of the longer sides
Step 3. Use a cart under each of the two legs
Step 4. Lower the table to rest your feet on the trolleys
Step 5. Lock the wheels or place an object against the carts to hold them in place
Step 6. Raise the other side and use the other two remaining carts
Step 7. Block them
Step 8. Push the table from the corners to move it to the desired position
Step 9. Repeat the previous steps in reverse to get him off the cart
Method 2 of 2: Move a Pool Table to a Different Place
Step 1. Disconnect the 6 side holes by removing the staples under them with a blade screwdriver or staple remover
Make sure you wear eye protection while doing this.
Step 2. Remove the rails
- Unscrew the bolts securing the rails with a mechanical compass.
- Slide out the tracks. If some sections of the tracks are fastened together, have someone help you turn them inside out at the same time and disconnect them.
Step 3. Free the felt
- If there are staples, use a staple remover to avoid damaging the felt.
- If it is glued, lift it gently without tearing it. If you plan to reuse felt, fold it well to prevent it from wrinkling.
Step 4. Remove the screws holding the surface plate in place using an electric drill with the appropriate bit
If the screws have been covered with bee, remove it using a blade screwdriver.
Step 5. Lift the plate off the rest of the table and place it in the truck
Better to put the pieces of the slab on top of each other.
Step 6. Take your feet off the frame
Step 7. Put the frame on the slab in the truck
If necessary, wrap the surfaces to protect them.
Step 8. Load the other remaining pieces into the truck as well and take everything to the new place
Step 9. Reverse these steps to reassemble the pool table
Best to hire a professional to make sure the table is level and the felt is installed correctly.
