Do you want to enhance your beautiful blue eyes with makeup? Here are some tips to make them stand out to the maximum.
Steps
Step 1. First of all, make sure you have removed any makeup residue, so that you have a sort of "blank canvas" to work on
Plus, you won't run the risk of getting eye infections, such as styes.
Step 2. Have makeup accessories handy
Having everything you need in front of you, you can fully concentrate on your makeup, and avoid blunders and smudges.
Step 3. Before starting the actual makeup, apply a small amount of white eyeshadow all around the eyes, using a thin brush or your fingertips
This will make your eyes appear brighter and clearer, and consequently healthier. Furthermore, thanks to this operation, the tear ducts will appear less blocked, and the eyes will also be larger. It seems like an irrelevant step, but instead it is very important to make the eyes stand out.
Step 4. Then apply a primer on the eyelids
If you don't have primer, you can use concealer. This is the foundation of your makeup, and it will make it last all day without fading.
Step 5. That's right, the trick to making blue eyes stand out is to use a contrast color
It sounds strange, but it is precisely the contrast color that enhances the eye color. Blue is a very cold color, which must be balanced with warm shades of eyeshadow: the ideal are brown and copper. If you have blue eyes, you can also use a very light blue eyeshadow, but be careful not to use a brighter color, otherwise your eyes will be dull in comparison. If you have gray-blue eyes, you should be able to use purple as well.
Step 6. Once you've chosen your color, make sure you have three different shades available
Start with the lightest shade, and apply it with a brush all over the eyelid. Then apply the intermediate shade along the crease of the eyelids: it will be easier if you open your eyes and the crease will be more visible. Finally, apply the darker shade of the chosen color, which will be the characterizing shade of your makeup. Use a thin brush to spread it from the outer corner to the center of the eye, along the entire lashline.
Step 7. Blend the eyeshadow
This will give a uniform look to the makeup and avoid you the gothic or clownish effect.
Step 8. Apply eyeliner now
Personally, I find that closing the eyes and pulling the eyelids outward facilitates the operation: applying eyeliner is easier on stretched skin. Don't overdo the quantity: you risk looking like a mask, while the aim is only to enhance the natural beauty of your eyes. To give more emphasis to your look, draw a "tail" at the outer corner of the eye with the eyeliner (see photo).
Step 9. Now apply a layer of pencil to the lower lid (optional step)
For blue eyes I would recommend a dark brown pencil, although a black pencil can work equally well. The pencil defines the contours of the eyes and highlights them in an extraordinary way.
Step 10. If you want to have a truly magnetic look, use the eyelash curler
Gently squeeze the upper lashes first, then the lower lashes into the curler clamps five times. Thanks to this operation you will have a much more feminine look.
Step 11. Mascara
Mascara makes your lashes longer and more defined, and your eyes more beautiful and feminine. For best results, apply two coats of mascara to the upper lashes using two different mascaras. On the lower ones apply only one. For an even more effective contrast with your eye color, use brown mascara.
Step 12. Finished
Advice
- Get enough sleep. It may seem irrelevant, but getting enough sleep will allow you to have brighter eyes, without dark circles or dark circles.
- Use an eyeshadow with a color that contrasts with that of your eyes.
- Use eye drops. A good eye drop, recommended by the doctor, is harmless, does not hurt, and deeply cleanses the eyes, which are thus brighter, cleaner and healthier, and overall more beautiful.
- Use a pearly eyeshadow: it is less crumbly and stays on the eyelids for longer, without crumbling and ending up on the cheeks.
Warnings
- Always remove your make-up before going to sleep. It reduces the risk of infections, and is much healthier.
- If you have allergies or your eyes water often, don't wear too much eyeliner, as it tends to smear and further irritate your eyes.
- Try not to share your makeup accessories with others to reduce the risk of infections. It is the main cause of the sty which, let's face it, is certainly not a pretty sight, as well as being painful: it is not worth it.
- Be careful that the eyeliner does not get into the eyes: it burns.
- Always use the curler BEFORE putting on mascara! If the mascara is not dry yet, the lashes will stick to the clamps, tearing. With dry and hardened mascara, however, the lashes will risk breaking!
- After a year of use, throw away the eyeshadows and buy new ones - they too have an expiration date.
