Crochet a circular rag rug is super easy! This is a great way to recycle old fabrics that you no longer use, such as broken, worn out clothes or other fabrics that have become a little battered. If you already know how to crochet a little, you will find this project very easy to do and, at the same time, rewarding.
Steps
Step 1. Find suitable cotton fabric to make the rug
Old T-shirts, tops, bed sheets, tablecloths, etc. - all of them can be fine, besides your fabric reserves, of course.
Step 2. Wash all the fabric you want to use
Step 3. Cut the fabric into strips according to the size of your crochet hook
A width that might work is between 4 and 5 cm, usually.
Step 4. Sew the strips from side to side
Iron the seams if you want - it will look better.
Step 5. Fold the edges inward of the strips
Step 6. Start crocheting in the round as usual, making a chain of 6 stitches and using the nano stitch to convert it into a circle
Sew a high stitch in 6 stitches and use a nano stitch to join the edges. The increases start on the second round. To make an increase you make 2 double stitches in the same point.
Step 7. Sew two double crochet in each double crochet around the circle in the second round
Step 8. Sew an increase in a yes and a no in the third round (double crochet in one, two double crochet in the next, etc.)
). As the spins get wider, there will be more points between each increase.
