Do you want to be a rag doll for Halloween or Carnival? Do you like wool thread wigs? Follow these simple steps on how to make a wig with just a few steps and without a lot of trouble!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: With Glue
Step 1. Prepare the cap on the Styrofoam / ball head
You will need a swimming cap, tights or a hat that covers right down to the hairline. A mannequin head is perfect for intent. Put the cap on the head / ball. Otherwise, keep an eye on it.
Step 2. Cut the very long thread
Choose the length you prefer. If you want a wig with long hair, the strand must be very long.
- If you want to look like Raggedy Andy, a famous red-haired rag doll, cut the wire 15-25cm long.
- After cutting the thread take one and tie a knot on both ends and set it aside. This will be the model to follow for the length. If you run out of yarn you can use this pattern later to cut more hair.
Step 3. Apply a small but thick strip of glue to the base of the head
If you want to create the dividing line or make a multicolored wig, draw the various sections with a pencil. Start from the bottom, but you can also start where you like. If you start from the base you can handle the wig more easily.
Step 4. Attach the wires next to each other until the entire headset is covered
If you start from the top, move the strings partially or tie them so that you can see the rest of the cap clearly.
- If you want a thick and full-bodied wig, be sure to glue the strands very close to each other. If you don't mind, spread strips of glue about 2.5-5 cm away from each other and then glue the threads.
- Once dry, style the wig!
Method 2 of 2: With Needle and Thread
Step 1. Cut the thread to the length you prefer
Use it as a reference model and place it in the center of the head - then double the length from the top of the hairline to the end of the strand.
Group the strands in a stack and make sure all ends are at the same height. You should be able to grip them with your hand, as if they were spaghetti
Step 2. Find the center
Use the felt as a base in the center of the threads and start sewing everything. This will be the central part.
Sew until all the threads are sewn to the felt. Once finished, turn it over
Step 3. Sew on a comb
This way the wig will look tidy when you wear it. Sew the end where you started sewing the felt with the threads. The teeth of the comb must point towards the thread. Place the comb over the felt (inside out) so that it is hidden by the wool.
The comb should be about 7.5-10cm wide. and it must not be wider than the piece of felt. Use a comb similar to hair accessories
Step 4. Adjust the wig and cut it to your liking
Adjust the strands so that they are all the same length and style the wig however you like.
An easy way to style the wig is to make two side ponytails with bows. That way the strands won't tangle and go over the eyes - plus it's a very cute hairstyle

Advice
- If you're working on a ball, start at the top and then work your way down. If you have a Styrofoam head, start where you prefer.
- Method 2: make the bangs - short. Take a shorter section, attach it in the center on the front, and backcomb it to recreate the bangs or wisps.
- If you buy a new ball of wool (recommended) - to make curly hair: pull the yarn from the inside of the ball; to make straight / normal hair: pull the yarn from the outside of the ball.
- Roll up a long thread so that you have length and size under control. When you are done cut the yarn from the ball.
- Never cut the thread all at once. Cut them a little at a time, roll them up and cut them according to your needs.
