Have you ever stained your sheets and then it didn't help to wash them? Don't worry: by following these tips, you will save your underwear.
Steps
Step 1. Purchase leak-proof panties specially designed for that time of the month
Also wear women's boxers when you go to bed for complete protection.
Step 2. Know your cycle
If you have irregular menstruation, try, however, to know approximately when they will come to you (at the beginning of the month, in the middle of the month or at the end of the month?).
Step 3. The menstrual cup resembles a tampon but is a healthier option, it can be worn up to 12 hours before changing it (even at night) and prevents leaks
Step 4. Remember, tampons should not be worn at night, although you can change after four to six hours of application to avoid getting infections or having toxic shock syndrome, as it flows when we lie down. less blood to the tampon and, consequently, by absorbing less fluids, the tampon dries up, increasing the chances of becoming intoxicated
Step 5. Try cloth tampons (you could even make your own)
Not only are they healthier and more hygienic than regular sanitary pads, they are also more comfortable and fit better in your underwear. As if that's not enough, you have the option to add extra layers if needed. Feeling more comfortable with cloth tampons means you are less likely to move while you sleep, as a result they tend to sit still instead of gathering together leading to any leaks.
Step 6. Take two bed pads with wings and stack them, with one covering the front better and the other for the back
If necessary, put one in the center as well.
Step 7. With two sanitary pads, you can also make a T
Put one on as usual and, towards the back of the panty, place the other perpendicularly.
Step 8. Place an old towel on the mattress
When you go to bed, lean where the towel is located, so, if you have any leaks, you will not stain the sheets. You could also use it to wrap yourself up when you wake up, before changing or putting on your sanitary pad.
Step 9. Roll up pieces of toilet paper and gently place them between your buttocks
Remove them the next morning.
Step 10. Purchase protective sheets, such as the ones parents use if their children are bedwetting
There is nothing embarrassing about using them, as they will protect the mattress and help you avoid stains and bad smells.
Step 11. If that doesn't work, buy adult diapers
Step 12. Put on two pairs of panties
Step 13. Insert the tampon on the front of the panties and sleep on your stomach
Step 14. Sleep comfortably and spotless
Advice
- Wear cycle-specific panties, which are leak-proof and are made of a breathable material.
- If you stain the sheets, don't worry. When you are menstruating, use old sheets, underwear, and pajamas. Use stained sheets and clothes only during your period.
- At a pet store, buy those pet rugs that have a top layer that absorbs liquids and a bottom layer of plastic that will protect the bed.
- If you stain your clothes or sheets, rinse everything with cold water, since the hot water will fix the stains. You could also treat the spots with milk or add salt to the water.
- For stains that have now dried, put a little hydrogen peroxide on the affected area. In any case, remember that hydrogen peroxide is a bleach, therefore, if the stained garment is dark, dilute it: the final solution should consist of two parts of water and one of peroxide.
- Use dark panties, pajamas, and sheets.
- If you tend to turn often in bed at night and the tampon moves, wear tight spandex running shorts: they will keep the underwear and the tampon in place.
- In bed, keep your legs together to prevent any leaks.
