If there are two games on the air at the same time or you can't decide which reality show to watch, Picture in Picture (or PIP) allows you to watch two sources of entertainment at a time!
Steps
Step 1. Make sure your TV offers this possibility
Check your remote for a "PIP" button or read the instructions; most TVs with PIPs have a section dedicated to this.
Step 2. Find the source
PIP only works when more than one image source (satellite and antenna, etc.) is connected to the television.
Step 3. Activate the PIP by pressing the "PIP" button; a small window should appear in the corner of the screen
On most TVs, pressing the "Input" or "Source" button will allow you to select the various inputs connected to the television (satellite, antenna, recorder).
Step 4. When your eyes are making eye contact from looking at two things, press PIP again and the smaller window should disappear
Method 1 of 1: If You Have an MPEG 2 DISH DVR
Step 1. Press Mode in front of the receiver
Step 2. On TV 1, press "OK"
Step 3. TV 1 & 2 now show the same thing
Step 4. You can press "PIP" once to create a small window in the corner, to move it, press "Position"
Step 5. If you press "PIP" again, the screen will enlarge, and you can use "Position" to move it
Step 6. If you press "PIP" again the two images will be the same ("position" will do nothing)
Step 7. Pressing "PIP" again will bring only one image back to the screen
Step 8. At any time you can press "Swap" to swap the two images, to listen to the audio of the other channel
Advice
- AUDIO will come from only one source, the one that occupies the largest part of the screen.
- The SIZE or POSITION buttons determine the position and size of the smallest window.
- Many PIP televisions have dual antenna inputs to allow you to view two different channels at the same time.
- You should be able to swap sources (and audio) using the "Swap" button next to the PIP one.
