There is nothing like having a nice pair of big eyes, whether they are brown, blue, green or hazel. Unfortunately, nature often doesn't help, giving us eyes that are different from what we consider ideal. If you want to make them look bigger, read this article and discover some techniques that can help you achieve the goal; some don't even require you to use make-up.

Step 1. Do not use eyeliner around the eyes, it will only make them look smaller, since they would be enclosed in the contours of the circular line
This also means avoiding the smoky effect. This isn't necessarily a bad thing - small eyes can still have a dramatic and mysterious look, but if you want to make them bigger that's not the ideal solution.
- If you apply eyeliner under the eye, do it only along the outer rim (never the inner one) and do not extend it to the innermost part.
- Also, pass the pencil in the inner line, white or a light color. It will instantly make your eyes bigger. However, be careful not to overdo it.
Step 2. Extend the eyeliner beyond the outer corner
The line should point slightly outwards in order to recreate the effect of having very long lashes. This technique allows you to increase the width of the eyes, but it may not be easy to do. The eyeliner needs to be distributed symmetrically, so use a mirror or get help from a friend initially.
Step 3. Add a light eyeshadow in the inner corner
This technique helps you to brighten your eyes more and produces the effect of making them bigger. However, use a soft shade of white; if the white is too strong the final result will be too theatrical. You can also use a white eyeliner on the lower rim, in order to create the illusion of increasing the part of the cornea.

Step 1. Care for your eyebrows

Step 2. Make your lashes look longer
There are many ways to accomplish this:
- Using an eyelash curler;
- Using mascara;
- Applying false eyelashes.
Step 3. Model your eyes
Apply a white eyeliner to the edge of your eyes, or black from the outermost corner towards the center and not all over.
- Use light-colored eyeshadow like cream, beige, white and so on.
- Apply a thin line of eyeliner to the top of the eyelid and work it outwards.
Part 3 of 3: Taking Care of the Eyes
Step 1. Take care of puffy eyes
Puffiness around the eyes makes them look smaller; follow these tips:
- Get enough sleep
- Wash your face with cool water;
- Make compresses with used (cold) tea bags. The tannins present in tea have an astringent effect on the skin.
- Reduce your salt intake. Too much salt can cause water retention and therefore swelling around the eyes;
- Exercise to improve your blood circulation and consequently reduce water retention.
Step 2. Get rid of dark circles
While this won't guarantee you have bigger looking eyes it will make them look more beautiful right away.
Take care of your health. This means getting enough sleep, eating a healthy and balanced diet and reducing salt intake
Step 3. Try the cold spoon method
Before going to bed, put two spoons in the freezer overnight. Then place them on your eyes when you wake up for about a minute. This treatment helps make your eyes bigger and brighter throughout the day - and also reduces the appearance of dark circles.
Advice
- A couple of natural tips: every night before going to sleep use rose water as a tonic, apply it by tapping it with a make-up remover pad around the eyes. Massage a few drops of almond oil on your lashes, it will make them grow healthier and stronger.
- There is no scientific evidence to suggest that putting olive oil on your lashes helps them grow. It will definitely give them a little extra shine, but it doesn't stimulate the follicle itself.
Warnings
- Opening your eyes won't make them look bigger, it will just give you a continuous effect of amazement.
- If you still want to keep your eyes wide open, be sure not to widen your nostrils as well.
