Steps
Step 1. Make sure you have the right equipment, listed in the Things You Will Need section
Step 2. Warm up with stretching
A couple of minutes is enough. Also make sure not to eat two hours before exercise.
Step 3. The Lotus Position is one of the simplest
Just put your feet on your thighs. If you struggle, try this variant.
The Half Lotus is simpler, just cross your legs as if you were sitting normally
Step 4. The Relaxation Pose is very beautiful and easy
Lie on your back and spread your arms and legs. Take several deep breaths to relax further.
Step 5. The Cow and Cat Stance is a moving pose
Rest your knees on the ground and curl your head into your chest (this is the cat position). To be a cow, lean forward a little more and stretch your head. Repeat several times.
Step 6. The Mountain Position is also very easy
Stand up, close your eyes and place your hands on your chest.
Step 7. Keep practicing until you master the moves
Advice
- Breathe deeply and do not do other activities during yoga.
- Before starting your yoga session, breathe deeply five times. Breathing has been proven to help you relax. If you are feeling particularly stressed, try taking 10-15 deep breaths.
- Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated.
- Make sure you do the moves correctly; mistakes could cause serious injury.
- Don't do yoga right after eating.
- Hire a yoga instructor if you want to learn more poses. Also, a trainer will be able to teach you yoga correctly instead of learning from the internet.
