Panja Kacham is a way of wearing dhoti, used mainly by grihastha (married men) on special occasions such as Pujas or other holidays, or daily by cultured men. It is usually a dhoti about 8 to 10 meters long (depending on the height and waist of the wearer) that is worn in a particular way. In this article we will explain to you how the Brahmins of South India carry it.
Steps

Step 1. The main and most important thing is that the Panja Kacham must be worn by already married men, not bachelors
It's not like wearing jeans or clothes like that!

Step 2. Fully open the dhoti 8-10 meters (depends on the height and waist of the wearer)

Step 3. Grab the dhoti so that you are right in the middle of it (lengthwise)
Both of its ends will need to be free and you will need to grab the dhoti so that there is enough of it to wrap around you just once.

Step 4. Wrap the dhoti around you once (as shown in the figure) by tightening a little around the stomach

Step 5. Bend the dhoti a few times so that it rests at your hips

Step 6. Take the top end (usually the one on your left); starting from the end, make folds about every 5 cm (kosuval)

Step 7. Insert the folds into the part of the dhoti wrapped around the hips (as shown in the figure)

Step 8. Take the wide part of the top fold and, starting at the end (so that the edge color is visible), make similar folds (as shown)

Step 9. Insert the second set of folds at the top of the previous one (as shown in the figure)

Step 10. Take the other free part of the dhoti and, starting from the side, make similar folds

Step 11. Put the dhoti around your legs and bring it behind you (as shown in the picture)
