If you go to a school that imposes a uniform, you will not be able to benefit from the advice that appears in other articles because there are uniforms that do not even involve the use of colored hair accessories, nail polishes etc. However, it is possible to look beautiful and elegant even with a school uniform.
Steps
Step 1. Shoes are very important
Since they all wear the same uniform, shoes count 10 times more than in other cases. Many schools only allow black or brown leather, with drawstrings. Probably the best shoes that you will be able to choose in this case are those with high and square heels, because the low heel makes the feet appear larger and wider. Make sure your shoes are always clean to make them more attractive, and don't write on them.
Step 2. Socks
Long stockings are cute when worn with a short skirt. Mary Jane shoes and ballet shoes look good with ankle socks. If you can wear them, try sports socks.
Step 3. Skirts / Pants / Shorts
Even some schools with very strict rules with respect to the uniform, allow you to shorten the skirt a little. You can show your legs a little more, but not too much that you feel uncomfortable. When you shorten the skirt, rolling it at the belt, do it with a wide fold, so as not to create a lifesaver at the waist. Girls and boys can wear pants a little low, and boys can wear them lower than girls; the same goes for shorts. Choose shorts that fit well and don't give a sloppy impression.
Step 4. T-shirts / shirts
If polo shirts are allowed, wear them. They are very cute and casual paired with pants or shorts. However, in many cases, they are not allowed. Both T-shirts and sweaters go tucked into pants. Both boys and girls should wear these perfectly sized garments and it is better to opt for a size that is a little small rather than too large. However, do not choose them so narrow that they compress. Girls can put small accessories in the top pocket, such as lip gloss and hair clips. However, avoid filling the pocket too much so that it doesn't look like a swollen bump.
Step 5. Jackets / pullovers
Girls should roll up their sleeves to reveal their arms or choose a larger size. Jackets are almost always very cute worn like this, but if you prefer not to roll up the sleeves and buy them in size, don't worry.
Step 6. Jewelry
Necklaces always stand out and in many cases are not allowed but, sometimes, a long necklace under the shirt is not prohibited. If it is a religious school, a silver cross, with glitter or stones, will look very good, and is probably allowed. If you can wear earrings, choose them beautiful and shiny, or you can opt for a small heart shape in silver color, or button.
Step 7. Makeup
Concealer and foundation are usually allowed, while eyeliner is already more daring. An eyelash curler and the appropriate product to keep them in shape are a great idea as they allow you to say that you have not applied any make-up. A light eyeliner or mascara is very nice. If your parents won't let you use them, empty the mascara container and use the brush to curl your lashes. Wash it in advance and let the container dry well. If none of the above is allowed, try applying a lip gloss to give your lips some brightness. It will make you look prettier and more attractive. A little pink blush will brighten up your face, without giving the impression that you've spent hours wearing makeup. Inspired by looking at teen magazines, you will find ideas for achieving a natural look and great tips for using the various shades even with respect to your specific complexion.
Step 8. Hair
They are very important, but the stricter schools do not allow you to carry them loose, so you will have to be creative. Some of the best choices are: a low ponytail with a large hair clip or a nice lace, a deliberately messy high ponytail, or a tight, neat ponytail. Any accessory can be cute even if the uniform only dictates black and white. The straightener for ringing or straightening your hair will be your best friend. If you wear your hair tied all day, a few little curls that come out will make you look gorgeous. You will also look good with a high and super tight ponytail.
Step 9. Bags
If the bag is part of the uniform, you are in luck. If so, you will just have to bring it as low as you can and decorate it with a few pins; however, given the choice, a bag is better than a backpack. Shoulder bags look great with many brooches, but also with the simplest of accessories to embellish them which consists of a beautiful solid color ribbon, to be attached to the shoulder strap or handles.
Step 10. Coats, hats and scarves
Some schools provide plain colored scarves, coats and hats. Wear the scarf in different ways, and play with the open coat buttons.
Step 11. Nails
Enamel is usually not allowed. Nonetheless, a French manicure and well-manicured nails will give you style. A good idea is to buy a whitening product and one to give brightness and some shine to the nails. Pair this manicure with a nice watch.
Step 12. Glasses
Many people prefer contact lenses whenever possible in order to avoid glasses; but this accessory can give a lot of style. Black and thin frames are classy and other frames can prove your uniqueness. Don't hide behind rimless lenses or contact lenses, dare more. Look for something that identifies you and gives you. Try crazy frames, like a leopard print.
Advice
- You can't wear too many hair clips; limit yourself to two or three. Invisible clothespins don't count.
- If the rules become permissive, don't overdo it. Wear your favorite and newest outfits, but don't overdo your makeup. If you did, you could jeopardize the possibility of a future without uniforms, trust me.
- Make a promise to yourself: if others wear contact lenses, try glasses, if everyone wears a ponytail, make a braid.
- Inspire others, but don't copy.
- Choose a chunky, large, leather watch or watch with an interesting strap that looks casual while still being elegant.
- Follow all the rules, otherwise you would end up looking good but in the headmaster's office.
