Step 2. Make the screen

Cut the bottom of the cardboard box, leaving a 5 cm outline.

Secure the parchment paper to the edge.

Step 3. Make puppets

Draw as many puppets as you want on a piece of paper or card.

Cut out the puppet.

Put a piece of duct tape on one end of a stick or straw. Leave some loose tape at the end of the stick. Secure the stick to your paper puppet, somewhere in the center back of the figure. Put duct tape on the other side of the stick so that it is stationary.

Step 4. The curtain opens

Find an audience and a few friends to act with you if necessary.

Make sure you have good access to the screen, perhaps you will need to cut the sides of the card, leaving only a few cm, so that it stands up on its own.

Stand behind the sofa or table with the screen in front and the audience on the other side of the screen.

Find a very strong light source to place behind you and the screen.

Advice
- Use a floodlight to create the flicker if that's what you're looking for.

Do a holiday themed show. Find an internet story about something related to the holidays, and make your own paper figures, write down what each character will say and do and memorize it. Ask a friend or family member to help you if needed.
A good idea is to do a story of monsters for Halloween, the story of Santa Claus or the Reindeer for Christmas and the story of the Easter bunny, eggs and chickens for Easter
