Pinterest is a new type of image-based social network that allows you to easily share what interests you and what you find on the Internet. Read this article to learn how.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Edit your profile
Step 1. Switch over your name in the upper right part of the screen
Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, if you are on your profile page, you can click "Edit Profile" under your picture.
Step 2. Edit the email address
The default email address is the one you signed up with (it is not made public). If you want to change it, just enter the new one in the space provided.
Step 3. Edit the email notifications
Click "Change email settings" to decide which notifications to receive.

Leave the things you want to receive via email checked and remove it from everything else. Once this is done, click on "Save Settings".
Use Pinterest Step 4 Step 4. Change your password
Click on "Change Password". Enter your old password in the space provided, then type your new password twice. Finally click "Change Password".

Here you have the option to enter your first and last name, change your username and enter information about yourself.

You can choose to upload one from your computer or, if you are connected via Facebook, you can use the same image you have on Facebook also on Pinterest.

If you wish, you can add your boards to your Facebook timeline as well. In addition, you can connect Facebook and Twitter to your Pinterest account (i.e. you can log into Pinterest with your Facebook / Twitter data, and in this case the profile picture will be automatically taken from there).
Method 2 of 3: Message Boards
Use Pinterest Step 8 Step 1. Create your boards
You can start with the ones that Pnterest suggests at the time of registration, or create your own.
Use Pinterest Step 9 Step 2. Start browsing the message boards of the people you follow
When you sign up, you will be asked to indicate what your interests are. Pinterest will assign you other users to follow based on them. Click on someone's name on your page to see a list of their boards.
Use Pinterest Step 10 Step 3. Look for other boards to follow
If you want, you can search for other boards to follow, in addition to those assigned by Pinterest. Type something in the search bar and hit enter. Now, click on "boards" at the top of the page. When you find one you like, click Follow.

If you find an image (pin) you like on someone's wall, you can replay it on your wall.
- Hover over the image and click "repinna".

Choose whether to add it to an existing board or to a new one.

Write a description and click on Pin It!
Use Pinterest Step 12 Step 5. Click Like
Another way to show that you like certain images is to click "Like". To do this, hover over the image and click the "like" button that will appear.

To see the pictures you liked, go to your profile page by clicking on your name at the top right. Now, click on "Like" at the top.
Method 3 of 3: Other actions
Use Pinterest Step 13 Step 1. Find friends from other social networks
If you want, you can find friends from Yahoo, Gmail, Twitter or Facebook.
- Go to https://pinterest.com/find_friends/. Click on the name of the site where your friends are.
- Grant permission. Whichever site you choose, you will need to give Pinterest permission to access your information.

Choose who to follow. A list of contacts will appear. Click on "follow all" next to the names.
Step 2. Decide if you want to use the Pin It button
This will greatly facilitate the operation of pinning your interests (hence the name Pinterest).
