Siri is the personal voice assistant for iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch users. There are several ways to customize Siri, one of them is software that allows it to call you by name. The following steps will teach you how.

Method 1 of 3: Part 1 of 3: Before You Begin
Step 1. Set the language
Siri is able to recognize several languages, you just have to choose the one in which it will speak.
- Select the Settings icon, then go to General> Siri> Language.
- Select the desired language and return to the previous menu.
Step 2. Connect to the internet
Siri will send your request to the Apple server. If you are not logged in, you will not be able to use Siri.
- Go back to Settings and select Wi-Fi.
- When the Wi-Fi connection is turned on, the phone will automatically search for the nearest networks.
- If Wi-Fi is not turned on, slide the switch to On. A list of available networks will appear.
- Select a network and connect. Enter the password if required.
- If there are no Wi-Fi networks available, you will need to connect the phone to the internet via the mobile network operator.
Step 3. Activate Siri
Click on the Home button and hold it down until you hear two beeps.
- If you don't hear the two beeps, check that Siri is on.
- From Settings, go to General> Siri. Move the switch to On if necessary.
Step 4. Create a new card from the address book with your personal data (optional)
Siri needs some basic information about you in order to operate. You can provide them in the contact card. If you don't have one yet, here's how.
- Click on Contacts on the Home screen.
- Press the + (plus) button to create a new contact.
- Insert your data. Click Add Field if you need additional fields. When you're done, click Done.
Step 5. Tell Siri who you are (optional)
Now that you've created your contact card, you need to tell Siri which one is yours.
- Go to Settings, then to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Click on the My Info button. A list of all your contacts will appear.
- Scroll to your contact and select it.
Method 2 of 3: Part 2 of 3: Ask Siri to call you by name
Step 1. Introduce yourself
The easiest way to get Siri to call you by name is to ask for it. Simply say, "Siri, call me Marco." Speak slowly and clearly
Step 2. Confirm
Siri will ask you to confirm your name. "From now on I'll call you Marco. Okay?" Answer "Ok".
Step 3. Correct Siri's pronunciation if necessary (optional)
Siri may have a hard time saying your name correctly at first. Here's how to help Siri pronounce it right.
- Select the Contacts icon on the Home screen.
- Click on your name, then click Edit.
- Scroll down and click Add Field.
- Select Phonetic Name or Phonetic Surname.
- Say your name correctly, then click Done.
Method 3 of 3: Part 3 of 3: Ask Siri To Call You By A Nickname
Step 1. Tell Siri your nickname
If you'd prefer Siri to call you with a name other than the one on your contact card, follow these steps.
- Go to Contacts on the Home screen.
- Select your name, then Edit.
- Scroll down and click Add Field.
- Click on Nickname.
- Enter the name you want to be called by. Remember to pronounce it phonetically if necessary.
- Click Finish.
