Do you play Minecraft? Have you spent countless hours digging and building? Are you bored and you don't know what to do anymore? This article will teach you how to "finish" Minecraft.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: Collect the Necessary
Step 1. Stock up on supplies
This is a very important step, and there are many specific items that you will need to have to find the fortress and access the final part of the game.
For this guide you will need to know at least the basics of Minecraft
Step 2. Dig some minerals
You will need at least 5 diamonds, 64 iron ores and several piles of coal. You will need 7 diamonds if you want a sword, pickaxe and spell table, and more if you want armor.
This step can take a long time
Step 3. Build the equipment and armor
You will need at least 1 diamond sword, 1 diamond pickaxe, 1 full iron armor, arrows and several stacks.
Step 4. Dig some obsidian
You will need it to build a Nether Portal.
- You can only mine obsidian with a diamond pickaxe.
- You can use obsidian to build a spell table, which will be very useful for fighting the dragon and in the game in general.
Step 5. Collect some pearls of the ender
You can find them by deleting the endermen. These pearls are very useful, so collect at least 20. Here are some of their uses:
- Teleportation. Right-click an ender pearl to launch it and teleport to the crash site. This can be very useful in areas such as ravines, large caves and in the Nether.
- Ingredients for the Eye of the Ender. You have to use pearls to make the eyes.
Step 6. Create Eyes of the Ender
They are essential for finding and unlocking the endgame area. You can build an eye by combining gunpowder and an ender pearl in the crafting grid.
- This is a shapeless recipe, so you can place the items wherever you like on the grid.
- You can get Blaze Powder by placing a Blaze Rod anywhere on the crafting grid.
Method 2 of 5: Using the Nether Portals
Step 1. Build and open a Portal to the Nether
This portal can transport you to the Nether, but you will need to open it using the flintlock.
Step 2. Enter the Nether
Stand in the portal and wait for the Nether to charge.
Step 3. Find a Nether Fortress
This is a structure that contains Nether warts (for potions) and a Blaze crafting cage. They can be hard to find, so you may need to spend some time on this step.
Step 4. Eliminate Blazes and Collect Nether Warts
The Blazes drop Blaze rods, which will be useful for potions and for reaching the final area. You will need a lot of them.
Nether warts are a staple ingredient in potions, and they only grow on soul sand, so harvest some and try growing them in your base. You can find Nether warts in fortresses only in two small areas along the stairs that go up
Step 5. Build an alchemical table
You can use it to craft potions, which will help you in the final boss fight.
Method 3 of 5: Find the Stronghold
Step 1. Find the stronghold
This is a naturally generated structure that contains valuable materials, and a portal to the End, which will take you to the end game area.
Strongholds are very rare, and are created at least 500 blocks from the point of creation, so it will take some time to reach them
Step 2. Throw one eye of the Ender
It will fly and move in the direction of the nearest stronghold. You can launch the Ender's eye by right clicking when you have it equipped.
Step 3. Repeat the previous step until you have found a stronghold
You will know you have found it when the eye starts flying towards the ground.
Eyes are usually destroyed after use, so wear lots of them
Step 4. Dig to reach the stronghold
You will probably have to go down a few blocks to find it.
Step 5. Make the area safer
The stronghold will be full of monsters, so take them out and light up the area.
Don't dig straight down, as the Portal to the End hangs directly over a lava pit! If you are not exactly above the portal, you could fall into a deep dark cave, take fall damage and be attacked by many monsters
Method 4 of 5: Enter the End
Step 1. Find the Portal to the End
You will need it to reach the End.
Step 2. Activate the portal
You can activate it by filling the frame with Ender's eyes.
- You can put the eye in the frame by right clicking on the eye.
- You will need to fill the entire frame to activate it.
Step 3. Jump into the portal
You will arrive in the End.
You will not be hurt by the lava under the portal if it is active, but if you do not activate it you will burn and lose all equipment
Method 5 of 5: Fighting the Boss
Step 1. Defeat the boss
The boss of the End is known as Enderdragon, and he flies for the End. To finish the game, you will have to defeat him.
Beware of the Endermen, which you will find everywhere in this dimension
Step 2. Find the dragon
It may take some time for it to appear, so be prepared by organizing your inventory.
You could enter the End underground. If that's the case, dig to get out
Step 3. Destroy the Ender Crystals
These crystals, found above the obsidian towers in the End, heal the dragon.
You can destroy them with a bow or a sword, although with a bow it is easier and you will avoid causing an explosion that could kill you
Step 4. Defeat the dragon
There are many ways to do this:
- You can shoot him, with a bow, good aim and lots of arrows.
- Use your sword. This means waiting for the dragon to swoop down on you before hitting it.
Step 5. Collect the loot
The dragon drops a lot of experience and opens an exit portal.
Step 6. Jump into the exit portal
Step 7. You've finished the game
Now that you're done with Minecraft, you'll be teleported to your world's standard crafting point after the credits, with all your gear and lots of extra experience levels!
You can return to the End whenever you want now, as long as you can reach the portal. You can find many valuables in that dimension, such as the Endermen and their precious Ender Pearls, and the Obsidian and End Stone blocks, which are some of the most blast resistant you can use
Advice
- You can use snowballs to destroy crystals or take out Blazes.
- Try shooting the Ender crystals instead of climbing the towers and hitting them with a sword. The crystals explode if you hit them, so be careful.
- If you bring a piston and a lever into the End, it is possible to collect the dragon eggs by standing above the exit portal.
- Wear at least one diamond armor. When the dragon swoops down on you to hit you, you'll take a lot less damage.
- It is possible to enchant armor to make it resistant to fire. This will help you when facing the Blazes.
- Walk with GREAT attention in the End. If you fall off the edges of the islands, you will end up in Nothingness and die. You will also lose all your items.
- The best item to defeat an Enderdragon is a powered bow with infinite arrows.
- Sleep before jumping into the portal.
- Blazes shoot fireballs as if they were turrets. They don't explode.
Warnings
- If you're not wearing a gourd, beware of endermen.
- Don't piss off an endermen when you find yourself on the edge of one of the End islands. They will hit you and you will fall into Nothing.
- It is probably a bad idea to enter the End with diamond armor. For one thing, it is difficult to obtain. Secondly, you will probably lose it. Finally, even if you manage to defeat the dragon unharmed, your armor will likely have worn a lot and will require more diamonds to repair.
- If you don't have a pumpkin, don't look endermen in the eye. You would make them hostile.
- You will probably die in the End.
