This article explains how to prevent a user from commenting and subscribing to their YouTube channel. It is possible to block a user directly from a comment or select him from the list of subscribers.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Block from a Comment
Step 1. Log in to YouTube
If you use a computer, visit https://www.youtube.com, then log in with your account. If you are using the mobile app, tap the red rectangle icon containing a white triangle to open YouTube.
Step 2. Click on your profile photo
It is located at the top right.
Step 3. Select Your Channel
You will be shown the contents of your channel.
Step 4. Select the video commented by the user
Comments will appear below the video.
Step 5. Block the user from the channel
To prevent a user from subscribing to your channel and / or leaving comments in the future, follow these steps:
- On a computer: click on ⁝ next to the user's comment, then click Hide user from channel.
- On a mobile or tablet: Tap the user's profile photo, tap ⁝ top right and then Block user.
Method 2 of 2: Block from the Subscriber List
Step 1. Visit
If you are not already logged in with your Google account, click on Log in top right to enter.
It is not possible to open the subscriber list using the YouTube mobile application
Step 2. Click on your profile photo in the upper right corner
A menu will open.
Step 3. Click on Your Channel
This option is at the top of the menu.
Step 4. Click Customize Channel
It is a blue button located at the top right.
Step 5. Click on (number) subscribers
This option is located in the upper left, above the channel image. You will be shown the list of users subscribed to your channel.
Only users who have made their subscriptions public will appear on this page. It is not possible to see the members who have decided to keep them private
Step 6. Click on the name of the subscriber you wish to remove
The user's channel will open.
Step 7. Click on the Information tab
It is located at the top right.
Step 8. Click the flag icon
It is located in the far right column under the section titled "Statistics". A menu will appear.
Step 9. Click Block User
The user will be removed from the subscriber list and will not be able to contact you. Blocked users cannot comment under your videos.
