Do you want to become a YouTube star? Do you have a message that you want to spread to as many people as you can? Or maybe you just want to make the whole world laugh? Whatever your purpose, the way to get it is to have maximum followers. This guide will help you to increase the number of visits and become attached to your YouTube channel.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Creating Content Often
Step 1. Upload videos at least once a week
One of the most important steps in getting a lot of 'followers' is to give them as much content as possible. The more videos you have, the more popular your channel will become.
- More videos means more results in search engines and therefore more followers.
- Keep in mind that posting too many videos every week could overwhelm your channel and make it difficult for users to find what they're looking for.
Step 2. Make a roadmap and stick to it
Try to upload your videos at regular times during the week. Let your followers know when the next video is available and you will see that they will be more likely to come back once you upload it.
People tend to subscribe to those channels that post content on a regular basis and not to those that are poorly curated
Step 3. Label your videos correctly
Check that all your 'tags' match the content of the video. If someone searches for something and your badly categorized video appears, it won't be watched for more than a couple of seconds.
- Good tags will make sure your videos show up in relevant searches.
- Use multiple tags in addition to single words. People often search by phrase.
Step 4. Take some time to give the video a good title
A well-composed title stands out in searches compared to a poor one. Let's say, for example, you are making a video on how to bake cookies. A bad title will be "Baking good cookies". A better one might be "Bake great crunchy biscuits in less than 15 minutes".
The second title is much more described and contains more keywords useful for research
Step 5. Give a helpful description
Only the first few lines will be visible when the video appears in the search results, so make sure the beginning is descriptive enough to explain what the video is about.
Make sure you include a good number of keywords in your description but don't overload it or it will become difficult to read
Part 2 of 4: Designing Videos
Step 1. Write the script
As much as it is possible to make successful 'footprint' videos, by writing a screenplay you will be able to create something consistent. It will also keep you from going off topic and make you focus on the content for your audience.
In the case of a vlog, you will need an outline of what you are going to say. Some of the best vloggers do this and cut parts with hesitation
Step 2. Film what you want
The most successful videos are those in which whoever makes them knows what they like. Don't try to follow the crowd by making videos that mimic current trends. You will be much more successful if you do what you want and focus on creating a well-packaged product.
Step 3. Start with a 'spin shot'
The introduction is one of the most important parts of the video. It should grab the viewer's attention, define the themes and directions of the video, and make the viewer want to move on. You can do this with personal introductions, graphics, clips about what's to come, and more.
The introduction should be short but intense. Viewers don't like to stay on it for more than 10-15 seconds. Include titles, graphics, and presentations. Quickly connect them and get started with the actual content
Step 4. Pace the content
It is essential that your video keeps the viewer glued without boring them. Don't dwell on uninteresting things and carry on with the action.
- Don't try to stuff a segment too much with information. If your video is informative, consider breaking the content into parts. That way the viewer won't be overwhelmed by everything you need to communicate.
- Also make sure you have enough content to justify a certain length. If the viewer is not interested even for a second, they will be more likely to switch videos.
- For longer videos, add small cuts where the pace slows down. This way the viewer will have a moment to reflect on what they saw before moving on.
Step 5. End with an exhortation
At the end of your video, don't say hello by turning off the camera. Ask your viewers to follow your channel, link your videos on their Facebook page, or ask them to leave a comment. All this will lead to greater visibility and therefore more interactions with your followers.
Use Annotations to add the Subscriptions button within the video. Check that you are not blocking any action and save it for the final segment
Part 3 of 4: Producing Your Videos
Step 1. Edit your videos
Even basic editing can separate your video from thousands of similar ones on YouTube. Check for errors, contents and interruptions.
Learn to use a program to edit movies. There are several free ones and many camcorders come with them
Step 2. Insert transitions
If you make a series of videos based on the same general concept (how to do, reviews, etc.), find some transitions and effects that you can apply to your videos. This will give your content a sense of homogeneity by making it more professional.
Transitions have a big impact on the style of your video. Style is vital to success on YouTube so make sure you develop it well
Step 3. Practice using the camera
Experiment with different types of shooting. Get to know your instrument well inside and out. A refined video will make a difference in the number of followers.
- Avoid moving the camera too much unless premeditated. For example, if you are talking in the camera and want to zoom in on something that is on a table, do not shoot with the camera moving. Cut from scene to scene so audiences don't get seasick.
- Find a friend or family member to help you. Having someone acting as an operator frees you by putting you in the position of being in front of the camera. Having a “team” also adds a touch of professionalism to the production.
Part 4 of 4: Creating Your Channel
Step 1. Make sure your content is always consistent
Make sure everything you upload to your channel is consistent with the theme you've set. For example, if you start with movie reviews, don't move on to cooking recipes. You will lose followers if you fall short of their expectations.
Create multiple channels for different subjects and themes. This way you can create links between your channels while keeping the contents separate so as not to confuse the viewer
Step 2. Interact with those who follow you
Respond to positive comments and give them thanks in the clips so you will strengthen your community.
Always moderate your channel by deleting any vulgar comments that may annoy other followers. This way your channel will be popular and friendly
Step 3. Subscribe to other channels in turn
Find the ones who share your interests and sign up. Leave thoughtful and well-written comments and you'll soon see others subscribe to your channels too. YouTube is a community, and interacting will help you grow more than just uploading videos.
Upload response videos to other videos where possible but avoid clogging up other channels. You would be ignored or blocked and therefore risk not having any more followers. Treat other channels with respect if you want it done with yours
Step 4. Advertise your channel
Use other social networks like Facebook and Twitter to advertise yourself. Let your friends and followers know when you upload a new video. Include a little notice when writing your posts.
If you have a blog, include a direct link to your YouTube channel so those who read you can go directly to your content. Simply, use this code to create a widget
Advice
- Outline descriptions are perfect for gaining visitors. Make your own though, don't use the ones already made.
- Remember the credits (to avoid infringing on copyright) and insert a link in the description to the different videos you made. Also remember to add as many tags as possible (but they are relevant).
- Don't be discouraged if it takes time.
- Try to make videos every other day to stick to your weekly plan. In this way you will strengthen the bond with those who follow you.
- Be unique. YouTube looks for someone who offers something new. Create a move, name or sound that is yours, personal and distinctive. If you inspire people, motivate them or hit them, you will gain notoriety.
- Don't denigrate or offend other channels. Followers of that channel could vote thumbs up towards your videos as well.
- Safety, security, safety.
- Avoid dirty or foul language. They usually have a negative effect on the viewer.
- Finally, one way to potentially have large numbers of subscribers is to sign up for random usernames, called 'name wasters'. Type youtube.com, followed by the double / and a random word (cheese or gherkin or dog or…) and you will end up on one of these usernames. The accounts that hide behind these wastenames usually have some traffic from those who turn to YouTube channels and if you use them correctly, you too can benefit from them.
- Avoid making promises you can't keep. Swapping entries takes a lot of work and suddenly you will find yourself inundated with requests; many YouTube users are against these systems. However, you can remind people to rate, comment, or subscribe at the end of each video.
- We also recommend that you invest in advertising. YouTube puts "Featured Videos" at the top of its related list (on the right of the page) and you can join them by paying a certain monthly fee to Google.
Warnings
- Some people may not like your videos and you will end up with negative comments. Don't take them personally and try to improve by leveraging their opinions
- Also, people will make vulgar comments just for the sake of being rude. Just ignore them. If you respond, you only encourage them to continue.
