This article explains how to use the Samsung Smart View app on an Android device (smartphone or tablet) to stream media content to a Samsung Smart TV and be able to control the device directly with your mobile device.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Configure the Smart View App
Step 1. Connect the Samsung Smart TV and Android device to the same Wi-Fi network
This way you can be sure that the two devices are able to communicate with each other.
Step 2. Install the Samsung Smart View app on your smartphone
Follow these instructions:

Log in to Play Store

- Type samsung smart view keywords into the search bar;
- Select the application Samsung Smart View;
- Push the button Install.
Step 3. Launch the Samsung Smart View app
It features a television-shaped icon with four curved lines at the bottom. It should be displayed within the "Applications" panel of the device.
If you have just finished installing the program and are still viewing the corresponding page of the Play Store, to start the app you can directly press the green "Open" button
Step 4. Press the Allow button when prompted
Only at the first start of the program will you have to authorize it to have access to all the hardware resources of the device necessary for its correct functioning.
Step 5. Select your Samsung TV if prompted
If you have more than one Samsung Smart TV connected to the Wi-Fi network, you will need to select the one you want to use. A warning message will appear on the selected TV screen. If you have only one Samsung TV, it may connect automatically.
Step 6. Select the Allow option on the TV
It is displayed at the top of the screen. Use the remote control of the device to select the "Allow" button.
Some Samsung Galaxy smartphones may automatically connect to the TV
Step 7. Select a TV app or media content to play
After establishing the connection between the Android device and the TV, you can choose what to watch directly using the Android smartphone. Within the Smart View program window of the device you should see the list of all the apps on the TV. Simply tap one of the icons to launch the corresponding app on your TV.
Alternatively, you can select the remote control icon in the upper right corner of the Android device screen to use the Android device to control all the functions of the Samsung TV
Part 2 of 3: Screen Duplication and Content Transmission
Step 1. Swipe your finger down the screen starting from the top side
You will see the device notification bar and some of the quick settings (for example the ability to turn on or off the Wi-Fi connection, cellular data, Bluetooth, etc.).
Step 2. Swipe your finger down the screen again
At this point, the quick settings panel of the notification bar will be displayed in its entirety.
Step 3. Select the SmartView icon or Broadcast.
A pop-up window will appear containing the list of all Smart View devices connected to the Android device. On some devices, the option indicated may be called "Screen duplication"
If you can't find one of the two items under consideration, try scrolling the list to the right to access the second page of quick settings
Step 4. Select your Samsung TV
The images displayed on the Android device will appear on the TV screen. Anything you do on your Android device will faithfully reproduce on your TV screen as well.
Some applications allow you to rotate the smartphone screen to orient images horizontally
Part 3 of 3: Streaming from a Media App
Step 1. Launch the app you want to stream content from to your Samsung Smart TV
For example, it could be YouTube, Hulu, Netflix and many other applications for managing multimedia content.
Step 2. Tap the app icon to activate data transmission
The precise location varies from program to program, but is usually located in the upper right corner of the screen. It is characterized by a small rectangle with the Wi-Fi connection symbol in the lower left corner. A pop-up window will appear showing a list of all the devices on the network that you can connect to.
Step 3. Select your Samsung Smart TV
The application in use will connect the smartphone or tablet to the TV.
Step 4. Choose the content you want to play
You can select a video or a song that will be played directly and only on the TV. This way you can continue to use your Android device as you normally do while streaming playback is active.
