You can send your profile Snapcode image via message, email or similar service. The code can be used to add you as a friend on Snapchat, thanks to the QR reader built into smartphones. To scan a friend's Snapcode, you need to have their phone handy.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Send a Snapcode Selfie
Step 1. Open Snapchat
The Snapcode selfie is the image displayed next to your name when users search for you in the app.
Step 2. Press the Snapchat menu at the top of the screen
The icon has the shape of a ghost.
Step 3. Press the yellow square in the center of the screen
Your selfie snapcode will open.
If you haven't taken a profile picture yet, you can do so by pressing the white circle under the yellow square. The app will take a series of photos, to be used as a selfie for your profile
Step 4. Press the export button on the top right or left of the screen
Several sharing options will open, including messages, emails, social networks and others.
Step 5. Press the messaging app you want
The chosen application will open in a new window and you will see your selfie ready to send.
Step 6. Press the send button to send the selfie
You have successfully shared your Snapcode!
Method 2 of 2: Add Friends via Snapcode
Step 1. Open Snapchat
To add a person using their Snapcode, just point the camera at the code and scan it with your phone.
Step 2. Ask your friend to open the Snapchat menu
To do this, he can press the ghost icon at the top of the camera screen.
For best results, place your friend's phone on a flat, hard surface while scanning
Step 3. Point the center of the frame towards the yellow box that contains the Snapcode
It should be in the center of your friend's cell phone screen. This way Snapchat will start scanning the code.
Step 4. Press and hold your finger over the code when prompted
Do it with your phone and not your friend's.
Step 5. Press "Add Friend" in the window that appears after the scan is complete
It will take two to three seconds, depending on the quality of your data or Wi-Fi connection. You managed to add a friend using their Snapcode!
