Stretch marks are signs of body changes, but if you want to hide them, how can you get rid of them, or at least make them disappear? There is no cure, but there are many things you can do to make them less noticeable. Even with natural methods!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Part 1: Using Food
Step 1. Rub the egg whites on your belly
Not very funny, is it? We at least hope it's worth it. Protein from egg whites is believed to be great for the skin and especially for stretch marks. Rub them on the affected area three times a day for maximum results.
Step 2. Get the potatoes
If you've eliminated carbs from your diet, you now have a new reason to add potatoes to your grocery list. Their juices are packed with vitamins and minerals that help restore skin cells. So, if you're cooking rosemary potatoes for your family, get one and literally rub it on your stretch marks. Just hope no one sees you, otherwise you will be fooled!
Specifically, cut the potato into double slices and rub them on the stretch marks; just make sure the slice is juicy. Dry off and then wash off the residue with warm water
Step 3. Use olive oil
It has a high content of vitamin E, which is very useful for the skin. If, on the other hand, you want to keep it for the fried food you plan to prepare for the evening, you can directly take vitamin E oil, also flavored with lavender, jasmine, or rosemary, if you want, as long as it is concentrated.
- The purpose of the oil is to soften the skin, which in this way relaxes and generally eliminates stretch marks more easily. It also reduces the chances of new ones forming!
- Castor oil is also believed to be effective (but how can any home remedy be).
Step 4. Use sugar
A sugar, oil, and lemon juice scrub is not only a great exfoliant when you want to shave, but also an effective remedy for stretch marks. And it smells good!
White sugar works best, as does almond oil. When you rub it on the area, take a minute - or even ten - to indulge in some sweet pampering. Consider it an excuse to take a long regenerating shower
Method 2 of 2: Part 2: Using Natural Lotions and Juices
Step 1. For new stretch marks you can use tretinoin cream
This cream works wonders for the rebuilding of collagen. The only caveat: Do not use it if you are pregnant. There could be harmful effects on the fetus, although there is no certain evidence to date.
Step 2. Be wary of creams and lotions advertised as miraculous for curing stretch marks
That's not true at all. Even if some people get good results, it is only thanks to continuous care, careful hydration and, not to be excluded, pure luck and favorable genetic factors. So, before you fund your bank account, think about it.
If you plan on putting on Retin-A cream or glycolic acid, you should consult your doctor first. They could be harmful; you should always consult with him before using any nonprescription solution. You certainly don't want to get a skin allergy or skin discoloration
Step 3. Try lemon juice
Surely you have heard that lemon juice decreases freckles, and the principle is the same: lemon juice is a natural whitening agent. Because of this, it can help stretch marks discolor more quickly. Rub it on the affected area and let it dry for about 10 minutes before rinsing off. For a stronger effect, repeat the treatment several times a day.
Step 4. Use shea butter or cocoa butter
They are two very moisturizing elements and can regenerate and soften the skin. If you apply them a couple of times a day, stretch marks can begin to stretch and prevent new ones from forming!
To be sure, any lotion is good for skin and stretch marks. The more hydrated the skin is, the better it will be to the touch and sight
Step 5. Apply aloe vera
Its properties against sunburn and its benefits for the skin in general are already known, but it is also excellent for stretch marks. It is a natural medicine and, to get valid results, use it daily. It is also very safe during and after pregnancy!
- You can also make a blend of aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil and vitamin A (from the capsules) to rub on the area until it is absorbed by the skin.
- Raw aloe vera leaves residues. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then clean it off with warm water.
Advice
- Stretch marks naturally fade over time. Be patient.
- Be consistent. These natural remedies can be effective if they are done several times a day.
- Love your body! Stretch marks are certainly not welcome, but still every part of your body is fine!
- Another potential remedy, albeit more difficult to find, is alfalfa powder, or alpha alpha. You can mix some with some essential oils to get a moisturizing infusion for the skin.
- Don't lie down after eating.
