This article explains how to unsubscribe from Spotify Premium on a smartphone or tablet with an Android operating system. You can do this on any device. Just log into your account on the Spotify website via a browser. This way, at the end of the current billing cycle, the account will be free again, with advertisements during playback.
Steps
Step 1. Open a browser
You can use any browser you have installed on the device. You can use the default browser, Google Chrome, Firefox or a similar application.
Step 2. Visit
Type the URL in the bar at the top of the browser to visit the page dedicated to your account.
Step 3. Log into your Spotify account
You can log in by entering the email address and password you have associated with your account. If you registered via Facebook, click on the blue button with the words "Continue with Facebook".
Step 4. Click on Account
This button is located under your profile picture when you log in via Facebook and allows you to access the Spotify website.
Step 5. Select Subscription
This option is located in the left sidebar. Your subscription will be displayed along with your payment information.
Step 6. Select Change or Cancel
This green button is at the top of the page.
Step 7. Select Cancel Premium Membership
This button is located in the section titled "Spotify Free".
Step 8. Select Yes, cancel
This black button is located in the section titled "Cancel Premium Membership". This will confirm that you wish to cancel your subscription. Once the current billing cycle is over, you will be returned to the free account. You will be given the option to answer a short survey about the reason for the cancellation. If you want to fill it in, answer the questions and then tap "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
