It's time to plan your long-awaited annual vacation or a relaxing "spiritual retreat". Be ready.
Steps
Step 1. Documented, documented, documented
Let yourself be inspired, search the web, look at the photos and read the diaries of those who have decided to share their travel experiences. When you return, do the same, write!
- Plan your destinations.
- Reserve a budget.
- Pack your bags.
- Don't forget about undergarments.
- The pajamas.
- The toiletries.
- The shoes.
- Beach swimsuits and towels.
- And of course your travel diary.
Step 2. Be prepared for any situations that may occur and make the journey more peaceful
Step 3. Schedule a calendar based on each attendee's needs
Gather the family and discuss your ideas. Be prepared for any bickering. Each participant will have to wish to reach some compromises.
Prepare a first aid kit - and make sure everyone knows where it is - you never know what might happen. Insert in the kit: patches, antiseptic cream, paracetamol tablets, antiallergics, etc. Inside the first aid kit it might be useful to include a list of emergency contacts
Step 4. If your pets cannot accompany you during the holiday, find a dog-sitter (or cat-sitter) in time
If you decide to take them with you, remember that they will not be able to enter some public places (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and that they will need time dedicated to them. It may often be best to leave them at home. Provide any necessary details to the person who will take care of it and don't forget to leave a phone number where you will be reachable. In your absence, they may have questions to ask.
Step 5. If it is a family vacation, and if you will be traveling by car for a long distance, make the trip fun and comfortable by bringing everything you need with you
Step 6. Choose the means of transport (plane, car, ship, etc.)
).
Step 7. Estimate the total cost of your vacation
Remember to include: restaurants (daily food and drink for each participant), fuel to reach, visit, and then leave, the chosen destination, overnight stays, recreational activities (e.g. zoos and water parks), etc.
- If the trip seems a little too expensive, look for offers. Often, on the web, it is possible to find discounts and promotions related to transport and accommodation. Once on site, they can also help you plan your days.
- Try to file the price. If you are going to visit a friend, try to accommodate yourself for a few nights at their house. In all likelihood, you will be able to make up for a few free meals as well. Instead of hiring a car, ask a neighbor to lend you their car they don't use (for free) and offer to take care of their pets on their next trip. Fill up with fuel at gas stations that offer a discount.
- Before asking for vacation, stop for a few hours of overtime. Your employer will be better prepared to grant them to you.
Step 8. Don't forget to bring the necessary medications for the whole family and make sure you have enough
Advice
- Go in search of discounts and promotions.
- If possible, plan your vacation well in advance.
- If you need to organize some stopovers, choose efficient and comfortable airports to make the long obligatory (or sudden) stops less burdensome.
- If you need to reach your destination by car, take a road map with you!
- Be ready for the weather. See the weather forecast in advance. Bring the appropriate clothing with you and do not leave out some extra clothing, which is not in accordance with the provisions of the meteorologists.
- Plan your trip precisely. Include necessary breaks, especially if you have children with you!
