So far you have been a soap and water girl but now you want to revolutionize your look and your life by becoming a Scene Girl. Read on to find out how to transform yourself!
Steps
Method 1 of 9: The World Is Your Stage
Step 1. Being a Scene Girl has certain requirements:
first of all, you will need to have a look that will be remembered by everyone.
Step 2. Scene girls recognize themselves in clubs, parties and shows because they are stunning, bold and confident
Step 3. If showing off doesn't excite you, you can still be a reserved Scene Girl
Method 2 of 9: Get dressed
Step 1. Fashion is the basis of life Scene
Dress creatively!
Step 2. Wear ballet flats and Vans with colorful laces (although they might give you poser because you're not a skater), perhaps paired with tutu-like skirts
Step 3. Wear dark, ripped skinny jeans and combine them with neon, leopard, zebra or checkered pieces
Step 4. Tight, printed shirts are a must:
you must have at least three. Avoid totally black t-shirts: the Scene style mixes black and neon. Choose the motif that suits you best: animal print, check, plaid or stripes.
-
The shirts must have the following prints: funny phrases, images from Alice in Wonderland, stars, hearts, lightning, skulls, bats, bands, children, ice cream and lollipops. Cartoon characters are also very popular.
Step 5. Put on accessories and Hello Kitty or Care Bears t-shirts
Wear skinny jeans, tutus, denim skirts, colorful Vans and Converse. Opt for brightly colored or striped leggings and leg warmers.
Step 6. Buy a gray hoodie
Step 7. The most popular belts are the studded or white ones
Step 8. Wear huge sunglasses, like Ray-Ban Aviators
Black-rimmed but non-graduated glasses are equally popular in the Scene world.
Step 9. Large necklaces, especially pearls, are a must and can be worn as you wish
Step 10. Remember those bracelets you wore when you were five?
Pick them up and wear lots of them all together!
Method 3 of 9: Piercing
Step 1. Piercings are also the foundation of the Scene style
Step 2. Septum, Monroe, Snakebites, Spiderbites, Angelbites, and Browbreakers are quite popular, while those on the ears may be covered by hair
For a preppy touch, choose a pearl piercing. You can also try the one that widens the ear.
Method 4 of 9: Makeup
Step 1. The makeup should be lively, with makeup in shades of pink, purple, blue, green and red
Use black, silver or blue eyeliner; don't go overboard with black, or you'll be mistaken for Emo, but you can make a thick line. Add the false lashes and you will be perfect.
Method 5 of 9: Hair
Step 1. Scene girls often have bangs or a side tuft (although not all of the hair will have to be long), which they move from the face with colored barrettes
The most popular hair color is black.
Step 2. Asymmetrically layered hair is also Scenes
Step 3. Mullet haircut is also popular and has been brought back into fashion by Asian Scene Girls
Step 4. A common hairstyle among Scene Girls is straight hair with a drop that falls over the eyes, simple to do and not too extreme
If you want to be daring, color them.
Step 5. If you don't have straight hair, get a straightener, which will come in handy especially for the side tuft
Step 6. If your parents don't approve of this style, make a ponytail and let some tufts fall into the sideburn area
Step 7. Another Scene hairstyle is represented by slightly long and asymmetrically scaled hair in the ear area
Step 8. Wear brightly colored hair accessories; headbands with skulls or bows are an example
Step 9. Dye them an extreme color, such as platinum blonde or black (but remember that going overboard with black can make you look Emo)
You can also opt for red or dye them black and create strands of other colors, such as purple or red. To color the strands without dye, use colored chalks designed for this purpose. If you prefer a simpler color, opt for chocolate brown.
Step 10. If you don't want to dye them, you can always keep them in your color or do the highlights, especially if your parents don't allow you to color them
Method 6 of 9: The Music
Step 1. Listen to your favorite music
After all, the Scene culture is based on this art. Start with the bands listed as belonging to the Scene Kids group:
- Metalcore / Deathcore: Asking Alexandria, Escape The Fate, Black Veil Brides, Attack Attack !, Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, D. R. U. G. S, Pierce The Veil and Of Mice and Men.
- Pop-punk / Powerpop: All Time Low, Forever the Sickest Kids, Metro Station, Mayday Parade, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, HelloGoodbye, A Rocket to the Moon, The Rocket Summer, We Are The In Crowd, Hey Monday. Acoustic: Nevershoutnever !, Stephen Jerzak, Chase Coy, Bright Eyes.
- Christcore (based on Christianity): Norma Jean, The Chariot, For Today, Haste the Day, August Burns Red, Impending Doom, As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Mychildren Mybride, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red, Demon Hunter, Pillar.
- Electro / Crunkcore: Blood on the Dance Floor, Scene Kidz, Breathe Carolina, Brokencyde, Dot Dot Curve, The Medic Droid, Jeffree Star, 1-800-Zombie, Dropping a Popped Locket, Mindless Self Indulgence.
- Dubstep: Listen to various DJs and Skrillex, Rusko, Skream, Caspa and Borgore.
- Alternative / Indie / Brit Pop: Phoenix, Death Cab For Cutie, Coldplay, MGMT, Iron & Wine, Muse, Adele, Blue Foundation, Florence and The Machine.
- You can also download the Spotify program and indicate your favorite songs: from here, click on "Radio" and select one of your favorite artists. You will be shown similar bands that you may not know yet. On the “Radio” you also have the opportunity to explore between various genres. You can find all the music you like.
Method 7 of 9: Use the Slang
Step 1. Introduce English words Scene into your vocabulary, such as hella ("very"), rad ("beautiful"), stellar ("extraordinary"), hot and The sex (referring to a person considered sexy), and hip- hop
Method 8 of 9: Connect
Step 1. Be active on social networks, especially MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Stickam, Buzznet, formspring.me and Model Mayhem
Step 2. Add as many people as you want
Step 3. Try to pose as a model
Take photos to make yourself known through Facebook and MySpace and then send them to agencies: you could pursue a career in the world of fashion.
Step 4. Add a nice but simple background to your page, upload your own photos and a playlist with your favorite music and create an original nickname
All of this is optional, but it will make you even more Scenes.
Step 5. Youtube is another must-see social network
Upload videos to the Scene world, which will help other people and make you more popular.
Method 9 of 9: Nice and Fun
Step 1. Be kind to the people they introduce to you
Some Scene Girls tend to be tough and arrogant because that's the stereotype, but you can stand out and blow everyone away.
Step 2. Someone might mistake you for Emo, but don't get mad, explain where the mistake is
Don't hate everything and everyone, try to be sweet.
Advice
- Scene Kids tend to want to appear eccentric at all costs, avoid this.
- Be honest and do what you want, but don't hurt anyone.
- Wear small bows in your hair, neither too big like those of the eighties (in which case just wear one) nor microscopic (more suitable for simple looks).
- Passionate about music and always carry your iPod or mp3 player with you.
- If you have short hair and your parents don't want you to dye it, buy colored hair extensions.
- Be sure of yourself and do not get knocked down by criticism: you can't please everyone! It's your body, it's your face and it's your life. Do what you want and don't think about others! By ignoring their comments, you will quickly prove that you are superior.
- Being Scene means being unique. Create your style and have fun. Of course, also follow the advice in this article, or you will not be recognized as a Scene Girl.
- Use a camera to take quality photos, avoid the webcam or cell phone camera if they are not good.
- If they mistake you for Emo, explain the differences between the two cultures.
- Audrey Kitching, Jeffree Star and Zui Suicide will have to inspire you. Don't copy, and create your own style.
- Expand your love of music by going to raves.
- MySpace is still popular with Scene Kids but has lost popularity. Spend more time on Facebook, Twitter, Formspring, friendproject.net (introduced to Scene Kids by Leda Monster Bunny), Last.fm, Vampirefreaks.com, and Xanga. Music-only Scene Kids prefer Last.fm, but if you want to be popular, you'll need to spend time on social networks as well.
- You can also bleach some strands of your hair.
- Ask a photography friend to help you shoot at parties and other Scene environments. Experiment with self-timer, mirrors, Photoshop filters, and themed images.
- Avoid being a poser, or you will lose points.
- Make friends with people with similar interests to yours, but don't forget old friends.
- Don't beg for compliments.
-
If you're on MySpace, opt for an original layout - the ready-made ones won't be as impactful. Try learning CSS or google MyGen and create your own. Among the best wallpapers, the animal print ones and the vintage ones.
As for the name, use that of baptism, followed by a word that recalls the world of Scenes. Think Queens Scenes (Twigg VIOLENCE, Zui SUICIDE, HAMMY horror, Kiki KANNIBAL, daniGORE, Lexi LUSH and Barbie XANAX). You can also insert the initials of the groups you belong to in brackets. You could also lowercase the first letter of your name, type a full stop or exclamation point after the name, or have a trademark symbol follow the lowercase name. Alliteration is a key method for creating your Scene name (examples: Raquel Reed or Cory Kennedy), so it will be more memorable and you have a better chance of becoming famous. Finally, you can translate your name into another language or replace letters, as Rebehk Exks Zimmy did
- You can buy everything you need in vintage and second-hand shops.
- Go to concerts by local bands often with your friends.
- See early Queens Scenes (such as Audrey Kitching, Kiki Kannibal, and Jeffree Star). Make sure you know the history and culture, otherwise you will look like a poser.
Warnings
- Someone will judge and insult you, but a real Scene Girl doesn't care about those things.
- They might call you Goth, be patient!
- Not everyone understands the difference between Emo and Scene. If it's worth it, explain it, but avoid going around saying right and wrong that you're a Scene Girl, or risk being pinned as a poser.
- A lot of people will stare at you for your looks, so before you become a Scene, make sure you have sufficient self-confidence.
- Slang is important but don't speak in an incomprehensible way! Your non-Scene friends may not understand you, so avoid phrases like “That boy is The sex! It's so hardcore and rad!”.
- Dyeing your hair too much can damage it. To avoid this risk, just color the tips or do highlights. If you really love to change color every two weeks, nourish them deeply, do a hot oil treatment once a week, always put on the conditioner and apply the thermo-protector before ironing them. However, if you have dry hair, don't stress it out.
- Don't think about what others say about you.
- Some may not like your new look. But if you are happy like this, then these people don't really love you.
- Don't go overboard with your makeup.
- Do not take thousands of photos all the same: it is a vain and unoriginal attitude.
- Do not spray too much hairspray - it will be difficult to remove and the hair will look glued together.
- Don't change overnight, but a little bit at a time, otherwise they'll give you a poser. Maybe, make the biggest changes during the summer holidays.
- If your old friends don't accept you for who you are, then they're not true friends.
- Don't look too hard to go to the grocery store or the post office, or you'll look like a poser. Grab the tutus, weird t-shirts and huge plastic necklaces from the closet especially for taking pictures, hanging out with your friends and going to shows.
- Don't spend too much to create the Scene Look. Shop in thrift stores and on the internet.
- Do not post photos where you can be mistaken for Emo or Goth.
- To avoid the risk of making your hair too dry, put on extensions.
