In this article we will teach you how to shape a beret for army cadets or anyone else who wears it.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Cardboard
Step 1. Cut the cardboard backing
If the cap is very thin, be careful not to cut it.
Step 2. Prepare two large bowls
- The first must contain hot water.
- The second, cold water.
Step 3. Immerse the beret completely in hot water, being careful not to get the leather parts wet
Step 4. Quickly, move the cap into the cold water
Step 5. Put the cap on your head to shape it
Give it the desired shape and let it dry naturally. Repeat the process if necessary.
Step 6. Once the cap has the desired shape, use razor blades to remove the hairs from the cap
Method 2 of 3: Plate
Step 1. Wet the cap
Dip the cap in the water and let it drain well.
Step 2. Spread it out on a dessert plate
Step 3. Let it dry on the plate
Step 4. Once dry, remove it from the plate
It should have taken the desired shape!
Method 3 of 3: Cadet
Step 1. Fill a sink with hot water
Step 2. Trim the inner lining of the cap without damaging the outer layer of hair
Step 3. Dip the beret in hot water (it doesn't matter if there is skin or not)
Then pull it well with your hands, until it is fully stretched.
Step 4. Put it on your head
The badge should be more or less above the left eye, while any extra fabric should go to the right side of the head.
Step 5. Hold it on your head until it dries
That way, it won't shrink and fit your head!
Advice
- Let it drain before putting it on your head.
- Don't spoil the beret.
- Be careful when you take off your cap.
