This article explains how to stop receiving targeted advertising spots on Snapchat. Once this feature is turned off, you will still continue to receive ads, but they will not be based on your activities outside of Snapchat.
Steps
Step 1. Open Snapchat
Step 2. Swipe down to open your profile
Step 3. Tap the settings icon
It depicts a gear and is located at the top right.
Step 4. Tap Manage
It is located in the "Additional Services" section.
Step 5. Tap Spot preferences
Step 6. Remove the check mark from the "By activity" item
Step 7. Select Deactivate
The box next to "Activity Based" should turn blank. Snapchat will no longer use the information provided by its advertising partners to show you targeted and specific commercials, but will continue to generate personalized commercials based on the activities you carry out within the application itself. These commercials will appear in the Snapchat Stories section.
