If you're working on a post to publish on Facebook but can't complete it, you can save the draft to continue writing later (saved drafts are deleted after three days). This article explains how to find the drafts you have saved using the Facebook application (for personal accounts) and the website (for business pages). If you save a draft using a personal account, you will be notified when you reopen the application and / or the text will appear when you try to write a new post. If you have a company page, among the publishing tools you will find a section specifically dedicated to saved drafts.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using a Personal Account
Step 1. Open Facebook on your device
If you have a personal account, you can only use the application (instead of the website) to retrieve saved drafts. The app icon looks like a white "f" on a blue background. You can find it on the Home screen, in the application menu or by searching.
- There is no specific tab or page that allows you to find saved drafts. If you need to make a long and detailed post, you should write it using a text editor in case Facebook crashes and the post disappears.
- Do you use an Android device? If you select the "Save as draft" option before exiting the application, you will receive a notification, which will remind you that the draft has been saved. Click on this notification to access the draft.
Step 2. Press the field What are you thinking about?
The saved draft should appear in this section when you click on it to create a post.
You can also check the notifications to find any saved drafts. The notification will redirect you to any other saved drafts that haven't been deleted
Step 3. Edit the post
You can complete or edit the post you previously saved as a draft before proceeding with publishing.
Step 4. Click on Publish
Once you have created content that you find satisfactory, you can publish the post in your diary. The text of the publication will then be removed from the saved drafts.
Method 2 of 2: Using a Corporate Account
Step 1. Visit https://facebook.com and log into your account
You will need to use the desktop version of the site to find the publishing tools link.
Step 2. Go to your business page
To do this, click on the arrow next to the question mark symbol on the right side of the page. Then, select the page you want to manage.
Step 3. Click on Publishing Tools
This option is located in the center of the page, above the cover photo, next to the "Page", "Mail", "Notifications", "Insight", "Ad Center" and "Other" options.
Step 4. Click on Drafts
This option is located in the column on the left side of the page, in the section titled "Posts". You will find all the drafts of the posts you have saved there.
