Method 1 of 4: Method one: wipe with a dry cloth
Step 1. Turn off the Macbook Pro and unplug the power adapter from the computer

- For best results, use distilled water instead of tap water. Tap water contains minerals, and some of them can be conductive. As a result, tap water is more likely to cause a short circuit than distilled water.
- Under no circumstances should you spray water directly on the Macbook Pro screen. This significantly increases the chances of getting water on the machine, making a short circuit more likely. Use water only by placing it on a soft cloth.
