Steps
Method 1 of 2: iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Launch the WhatsApp app
If you have not already logged in for the first time, follow the instructions that will appear on the screen to register your mobile number.
Step 2. Press the Calls button
It features a telephone handset icon and is located at the bottom left of the screen.
Step 3. Press the ➕ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Select the name of the WhatsApp contact you want to call
You may need to scroll down to find the person you want to contact
Step 5. Tap the phone handset icon
It is located to the right of the contact name next to the one for making a video call.
If prompted, press the button Allow to authorize the WhatsApp app to have access to the microphone and front camera of the device.
Step 6. When the called person answers the phone, remember to speak clearly into the microphone of your device
Step 7. Tap the red telephone handset icon to hang up once the conversation is finished

Method 2 of 2: Android devices
Step 1. Launch the WhatsApp app
If you have not already logged in for the first time, follow the instructions that will appear on the screen to register your mobile number.
Step 2. Go to the Calls tab
It is located at the top right of the screen.
Step 3. Tap the button to make a new call
It is circular, green in color and characterized by a telephone handset and the "+" symbol. It is located at the bottom right of the screen.
Step 4. Select the name of the WhatsApp contact you want to call
You may need to scroll down to find the person you want to contact
Step 5. Tap the phone handset icon
It is located to the right of the contact name next to the one for making a video call.
If prompted, press the buttons in succession Continues And Allow to authorize the WhatsApp app to have access to the microphone and front camera of the device.
Step 6. When the called person answers the phone, remember to speak clearly into the microphone of your device
Step 7. Once you have finished the conversation, tap the red telephone handset icon to hang up
